I have read through many posts here and have to admit that I am more confused than I was before. I have watched some youtube vids on making your own juice and researched it online but cannot find anything that really walks me through the process. I truly need step by step instructions for eventually going the DIY route. An example would be -

1. At a minimum have these devices (bottles, syringes, etc.) and substances (liquid nicotine (PG/and or VG), flavoring, PG/and or VG liquid, sweetener, etc
2. Take this substance and put this many drops in a bottle
3. Take this substance and put this many drops in a bottle
4. Take this substance and put this many drops in a bottle
5. etc
6. etc
7. etc

You get my point. I have looked at the so called calculators online and they confuse me even more. Better instructions on how to use those would also be helpful.

With the liquid nicotine I see they come in varying strengths all the way up to 100 mg. How do I determine the strength to buy and how do I determine (I suppose this is where the calculator comes in) how much to add to get, let's say, a 12 mg strength. Math is NOT my friend! Any help would be greatly appreciated with this process. Thanks! :)

Yea, what Danny said. I read those, watched the videos then got my stuff and it was off to the races!!
Make sure you get a good e-juice calculator. Once you input the information it will tell you exactly how much of each to use.
I use syringes, just because for me it is easy to see and use then counting drops. The syringes and needles are very cheap and will last a long time if you take care of them.

The calculator will ask you what strength nicotine you have and what strength you want your juice to have, then it tells you exactly how much to add. Play with the flavors, find which you like and at what strength.

Good luck and dive in!!!

ask what equipment you need, and everyone will give you a different answer. Some people need 100 amber bottles of every size and three kinds of syringes (lovely people here, but they will help you spend your money given half a chance!). Others just rinse out their used plastic bottles.

How many drops of this and how many of that is what you call a recipe. Tell us what you want and we can tell you how to make it. How much? vg/pg ratio? Mgs of nic? Flavor(s)?

I have 30 or so recipes in my notes and no two alike, so I doubt I could rattle off one of them for you and have it be THE one you're looking for.

We do want to be helpful, it's just that we need more info. Please do read the blogs (very helpful!) check out the recipe thread, and then come tell us how to help you, okay?

I just started DIY and use the ecigvape.com 10 flavors plus pg/vg adjusting calculator because it's been simple for me to use, simply plug in the numbers and hit calculate button, takes away the math headaches, I use %s and ml measurements, not drops though. Play around to see what works for you, there are a few out there to choose from, once you figure out one you like, it really makes things things a breeze. Read and read some more, take lots of notes too. The DIY community is creative, helpful, and generous. I like having some control over my flavors, nic levels, ratios, and I'm saving some $ too while being creative on my own and having fun along the way. Good luck to you if you decide to try making your own:)
