F.Y.I
I don't know if this is systemic of all Vamos but after 2 days of use my Vamo started over heating after pressing the fire button for 4 seconds. I would get really hot on the backside I was sure it was shorting out but wasn't sure where.

Then this morning I got to work and I noticed that there was a wiggle in the joint and my mod looked a little crooked.
I have had it for 2 days, not dropped it or anything like that I suspect it just wiggled itself loose. So I pushed the joint together and found that now it is not over heating so I have come to the conclusion the break in the joint is causing it to short and over heat.

I took a short video of where the connection is bad I didn't want to wiggle it too much and completely wreck the Vamo but hopefully it shows it enough.

I apologize the video was taken on my Iphone and is my first attempt.

I have contacted the vendor where I purchased the device and am awaiting a response.
I am thankful I purchased it from a semi local Canadian vendor so if I do have to send it back I won't have to contend with customs.
Just Canada post.....

Cheers,
Nathan

Yes SupplyDaddy it sure does I know there was an original over heating issue caused by the old spring but I believe that over heating issue made the bottom of the mod heat up. I emailed the vendor before I purchased it to make sure the upgraded spring was in the Vamo so I didn't have to fiddle with it.

I would insist on a return authorization for safety's sake. Although it's not shorting now, I'm not sure if you would feel entirely comfortable with it. I know I wouldn't.

I am waiting on a reply from the vendor "Canvape" to see if they will send me a new one or if I have to return the old one first. that would be a shame to use my kanger protank on my 1000mah ego passthrough just doesn't hit quite right if you know what I mean.

Threads being kinked or loose like that can cause a high-resistance connection. High resistance wastes energy- wasted energy makes heat. Just like how the older style bottom springs would sometimes cause the bottom to warm up, same idea. As long as you can get it straight and tight then you're good, there's nothing wrong with it. But if it's damaged to the point that it's still heating up even when you bend it back to straight, then you may need a replacement tube.
