FA Burley Smell

New to mixing, I am trying to find a good tobacco flavour. I have just added some FA Burley to a 70/30 pg/vg mix. It smells foul, like stinking socks. I wouldn't try vaping it because the odour is nauseating. Will it improve with steeping or is there anything I could add to mask the smell without affecting the flavour?

Just let it steep for a few days. You really can't go by the smell. Try 7 leaves tobacco next time, for a mild tobacco smell and taste.

Steeping seems to be working. The smell is not quite so pungent today. Thanks for the advice.

Now that you mention it I bought some FA Burley, and that also stank. I did mix it up. That's now months ago, and the last time I smelt it, well, no change. It's completely unvapeable. Smells like it's gone bad. Wierd though. I also got some Burley from VZ, and it's nice, not really wonderful; but it is a pleasant vape.

Right, can't use the Burley on its own. In fact, that's the case for a lot of "tobaccos" from FA I tried except the 7 leaves that is great on its own.
But if you try for a 30ml mix
9 drops 7 leaves
6 drops Cuban supreme
4 drops burley
you'll find that you definitely need the Burley!

Me too, but I thought it was an old bottle or something, didn't mention it, and this is the first post I see on it. So it wasn't me, after all
It's the only FA tobacco that I've noticed a smell like that. It was infect, all the others I love alone or mixed. Except for Black Fire, which I find...

I don't know if there was a bad batch, or if the Burley always has such an unsavoury odeur.

I think if you smelt the Burley I had you would definitely not need it ,-
