Good Morning Everyone,

Started vaping last October and about 6 months ago developed a rash around the mouth and nostril area. I'm almost positive it's coming from the vaping. I tend to exhale at least partially through the nose and have a bad habit of touching my face waaaaay too many times on any given day. I have been trying not to touch my face and wash my hands frequently during the day. I'm managing with a prescription ointment and being in the Sun helps but can't seem to get rid of it totally.

Anyone else experience this and have any luck eliminating it. I use a 18mg Butterscotch/Almond juice, 50/50- PG/VG mixture if that might help.

Thanks as always.

I had the same issue, and it was also on my neck too. You are going to have to go through process of elimination. As most people have issues with PG over VG, I really thought it was my issue. But it was the VG that was causing it, and I am ok as long as it's no more than 20% VG. So don't count it all out, you might just can tolerate some of it. So once I got that worked out, I realized some flavors was causing it too. So now I happily vape 80/20 PG/VG unflavored. You might have issues with the PG, the VG, or the flavoring. Just gotta figure out which. Good Luck because I can so relate.

So this is all trial and error it seems. One of the reasons that I'm putting down the analogs is because over the past few years I've developed skin problems (never really had it before) and assumed it was a result of the chemicals in the tabacco smoke.

I'm about to put in a order for juice along with my new VP and decided to go with mostly VG based juice. I assummed this would be a wise decision as it's vegetable based. Now I wonder...

Nicotine is usually the issue. Nicotine is a skin irritant. Are you inhaling or exhaling the vapor through your nose? If so, cut back on that. Are you use 100% PG liquids with nicotine? If so instead find some with some VG in them. I use 20% VG or less in stuffing cartomizers for good flow and wicking and up to 50% on a normal atomizer. And if you recently raised your nicotine that could be contributing. The higher the nicotine concentration. the more irritating the vapor and liquid. Also if you get liquid on your hands, wash them (wiping them on a tissue etc may not be enough to keep your hands from irritating your face)

Well I guess it's good to know I'm not the only one that has had this problem.:p If I think back to when it started it would either have to be the flavoring or when I switched to the 50/50 PG/VG mix. I settled in to both around the same time. Prior to that it was 100% PG. I will try to pinpoint it and start washing my face every time I wash my hands.

Thanks for the help guys. Knew I could count on you.
