Hi all!

My name is Joe and i am 23 years old from Dayton, Ohio.

Im fairly new to vaping so i will try to keep this short and sweet with out boring you all too much. I had only been smoking for around 3 years at about a half PAD, so i feel a bit odd being proud of quitting after reading all the stories of 30+ year 2 PAD smokers quitting, when i have had so much trouble kicking the habit after only 3 years. although I am proud to say i have been completely smoke free for about a week now.

I say FAIRLY new because my vaping experience began about two years ago when i heard an add on the radio about an ecig that i could try for "free" Anyway that ended up being a load of crap and i ended up smoking the same day that i received the product in the mail. It did not have nicotine and only came with one battery. It was pretty much a waist of $70 and was left very discouraged and unhappy.

Fast forward to about four months ago when i decided give it another try, this time doing a little bit of research online first. After a little researching i decided to go ahead and purchased a Blu starter kit because the refills we also available at the walgreens down the street. I was relatively happy with it. I quit for a few days then stated to smoke a few analogs while still vaping. This continued for about a month or two and then i got sick of buying the pricey filled carts from blu. Eventually i was back to smoking analogs exclusively again :(

I determined that there must be a cheaper way of doing this, so i got back on the internet for some more research and found ECF!!! And i could not be happier! I did about a week of reading and decide to take the plunge and give "Ecigs" one more try. I purchased a vtube from apollo and i love it! :vapor: it vapes very well and i love all the different carts and attys and tanks that i can use. I started off with a 6ml DC tank and loved it. but when i went to refill it, i made the mistake off removing the top and ended up tearing one of the o-ring seals when i went to put it back on (i still need to get a new o-ring) It started flooding the cart so i decided to get some CE2 clearomizers to see how i liked them. Since there was a $30 min for free shipping with apollo i decide to get some CE4's and all the fittings as well so that i could get really anything to fit on my vtube in the future. I liked the CE2's but like the CE4's better and that is what i have been using for the past couple days. I also love dripping! the flavor cant be beat. the dripping part is kind of a pain when sitting at home but i have found that it is perfect for car rides! i just add some drops before i start my drive and the vape usually last as long as an analog would. if i am left wanting more, which i usually do on longer car rides, i just add a few more drops at a stop light and am good to go!

All-in-all i am so happy that i have found the vaping community! Im glad that i have quit and think that vaping is going to become much more of a hobby then a chore(like smoking was) Thanks for reading and if you have any suggestions or stories that you would like to share, i would love to hear them!!

Thanks,
Joe

Welcome to ECF. Be glad your quitting this early before that became a 2 pad habit. I've never seen an addiction get better over time if you keep doing it. At least not for me. Your at the point where you get to say I've not had that happen. BUt add yet to it. LOL
glad to see you getting of the stinkies. Welcome aboard.

hey buddy, i also had thought that dripping was the best flavor and that it couldnt be beat, also like you thought it was a bit of a pain. that all changed when i purchased a genesis style atomizer, the ones you rebuild. the flavor to me is better than a regular atomizer and it has a tank you fill, so you are getting the flavor of an atomizer all day without dripping. the only trade off is you must rebuild them every once in a while. but this to me is part of the attraction that keeps me interested in vaping. good luck

Congrats on the quitting! I found a cheap genesis style atty on surevapes.com it's like $22 and free shipping. Literally just ordered it about an hour ago so no review on it yet, but might be a good starter for ya! Also, there's a store in Columbus called Alt Smoke. It's pretty cool to just go hang and vape. Couple couches and playstation. I dig it. There's so much to this vaping stuff that I'm still learning all the time and it's been 8 months since I started. I'm about to try to make my own juice. Should be fun!

hey buddy, i had post about the genesis style atomizer. i would not recommend the cheaper one for 22.00. i own a DID atomizer and it is one of the only genesis style atomizers readily available. it is more money than the knock offs, i believe it was 100.00 dollars, but well worth it. it is all stainless steel and very well built. i did try one of those cheaper ones and returned it within one day. for one the airhole did not line up with the wick, which is a major flaw in design. sorry you probably do not know anything about this flaw yet, but if you eventually purchase one you will understand. also the cheapy ones are only stainless steel plated. over time this will fail and you wouldnt want to vape the device at this point. do a search on the DID atomizer i believe it is metal vapors or metal madness vapors, something like that. believe me you wont be disapointed in this device. when i first started i bought every atomizer out there. also loads of carts and i only will use genesis atomizer now. the only thing is you kind of need to know what your favorite juice is. it is not that easy to try different flavors in a tank. you know you fill up 3 to 4 mls in the tank and if you dont like the flavor you have to drain the tank and rinse it to add a new flavor. i have 2 all day vapes so i have 2 DID's. good luck

Congrats on your recent purchase and your freedom from the shackles of analogues! I'm not too far from ya bro, in west Chester. I also have the Vtube and it's been a gem. I have the Dct tank on my vtube and bought a Tgo with clearomizers which I love! Usually don't have to drip as its filled and good to go. Well congrats dude and keep it up! I've been smoke free for 55 days.. I was a ppd smoker. I've avoided 1,100 cigs( freakin ridiculous) and saved $347.05 it all adds up!
I'm interested to know what your juice your using. Traders world has a few vendors for that emergency juice if u ever run out :)

In addition to alt smoke there's another place called buckeye vapors.. I frequently purchase my ejuice from them. Josh(owner) is chill and if your ever up there they have a vape lounge and u can sample any juice u want before u buy. The website is updated daily as they recently got it up and running but check it out!

Good to know! you probably just saved me $22 as i was definitely thinking about getting one. $100 is a bit pricey for me right now but once i get a few months in and start to see the savings im making from not smoking then i will definitely have to give it a try!!!

And hello to all you ohio vapers! i am definitely gonna check out the altsmoke place soon.

I'm interested to know what your juice your using. Traders world has a few vendors for that emergency juice if u ever run out :)

Right now im vaping 100% VG from BlueMist Vaping. I got 10 10ml bottles(2 sampler packs) to try to find ones that i like and would buy more of. So far im liking the peppermint, hypedrmint(probably my fav so far), rasberry, peach, blackberry, coffee n' cream, and the crimson cow(love red bull!). The ones i didnt like were the apple cinnamon, cherry limeade, and the vanilla cream. I have put them up to steep for a bit and will give them another try later. once i find the flavor that i like, i will probably get a 100ml bottle. im a fan of the 100% VG but i think i might go with a 50/50 next time cause i am having some wicking issues in some of the clearomizers.

A little update...

I got up to columbus the other day to check out the altsmoke shop and i was very impressed. it is a very cool place with cool people and i was able to try out some great juices. i ended up getting a couple bottles of juice and even picked up a vivi nova tank cause iv been wanting one for a while now. i love the tank and the juice i got (synapse) is probably my favorite so far!! the drive was a little over an hour so i probably wont be making the drive very often but if i am ever in the area or get in a bind with shipping from internet purchases then i will definitely be hitting up altsmoke in the future!

still havent had an analog! (a little over 5 weeks)

Ohio has several great vendors. Vaporbomb is in the Canton area I believe. Might be too far of a drive for you but shipping will be quick if you need to order juice from them :D

Of course, altsmoke's juices are fantastic and will let you try 'em out before you buy in the store. Bonus :vapor:

Welcome to ECF!
Vapor bomb is in Barberton last I heard about 10 minutes or so from me no actual storefront but pickup options are available i believe 10am to 12 pm double check by giving them a call and listen to the recording
