Personally I'd bin them decent batteries are not that expensive as to chance it, I do have to admit to having a dislike for efest and their less then honest practice's but the main thing against them for me is just buy the same battery's made and packaged by the original manufacturer rather then a rewrap by efest. Samsung's, Sony's or LG he2's be fine for your xcube I'll be using Samsung's when mine gets here.

Who would bother to counterfeit an Efest?!?

Efests are routinely sold for more $ than Samsung and LGs, so the profit margin is greater. The fact that they're overpriced, inaccurately rated re-wraps makes them a prime candidate for counterfeiting.

You'll enjoy the 25Rs you ordered, OP. Samsung is my go-to brand for reliable batteries; icing on the cake that they're some of the cheapest around. And no more Ebay!

Two Rules I try to follow
1. Do not buy batteries on Ebay, Use a reliable dealer. there are quite a few with great prices.
2. Do not buy Efest. or any battery that claims to have more than 30 amp continuos with high mah ratings.

I generally stick with Samsung (25r & 30q) and Panasonic (ncr 18650b). Never a problem..

    NCR18650B?
I hope you're not using them at over 6A.

    And this is the point!

Every battery has a CDR, and it's necessary to know what that is. When we don't know what it is, or companies put exaggerated amp limits on their batteries, we are at risk.

Unwrapped one of my batteries to see if it was just a re-wrap, but nothing was under it. The ebay seller responded that it was the site's fault for not verifying the codes, and that he would contact them to fix it. They did indeed fix the site, and now i do know that the batteries are authentic.

The battery is an authentic Efest, but that just means it's an authentic rewrap...as all Efests are rewraps.

despite all the griping and hate, I have had good luck w/ efests (even the ones marked 35 a)

in a regulated device, its not going to be a big issue. at the worst, you should get less batt life. its not like you are running a mech that has no safety features built in. and id be fine using them for mechs, just wouldn't go below say .5 or .6 ohms.

    I haven't had a problem with the NCR 18650B's yet....I generally stick to 400F@13watts.
    What's my amperage at that?

If in temperature control (TC) mode I don't know how much current you are drawing. Depends on the mod. But, if your mod will not exceed 13W in TC mode then you can calculate the worst case current by the following equation...

Max Amps = Max Watts / Min Battery Voltage

I'll assume 3.2V for the min battery voltage, adjust as necessary.

    Max Amps = 13W / 3.2V = 4.1A

It could be a lot less depending on your mod, how often it needs to throttle back the current for TC, etc.
