^very possibly why. I think though that the REO is best fit for people who don't like the way other devices vape. if you're content, it may not "hit" for you like it does the REOnauts. bottomfeeding is an entirely different vaping paradigm, really. you either love it or don't :) some people like automatic transmissions in cars, while others hate them :)

Got my new Reo going last night and I'm not in love either. My first coil came in at 2.1ohm so that might be why I don't see it as much better than my aerotanks.
your time

With a mech like your reo, you need to build the coils 1.2 - 1.8 ohms. It will be a difficult t first to find the right resistance for you favorite juice. Take your time, as this is not a beginner's device. However, it will be easy once you get the hang of it.

Shoot for 1.5 or so and work from there. Try it before you give up. Building coils is easy once you get the hang of it.

Goes to show, to each their own. I love squonking and hate tanks, you love tanks and hate squonking. It doesn't at all matter so long as you use what you prefer and don't let anybody ever give ya heck for it either. The only thing that REALLY matters is to vape on and not smoke cigs. Whatever does that for you is what counts :)

This coming from the REO enabler of the century! You're such a great guy Sloth! I thought if anyone would lovingly tease me on this it would be you! But you are right, I love vaping NT juice and no stinkies for me! Thanks!

Yes, going to shoot for lower in a bit here. I was all proud of my first coil, it was so pretty! Then I checked it and said oh...um.

Chevy dually Chili? You must be a Texas girl!...:D Don't have an MVP but, do have a VTR. I may be a bit of an enigma but, I love them all. Mech's, Reo's, Dna's Provari's, evic's and even an occasional Ego. All are in my stable and all get their use. With that being said, when I leave the house its with a Reo in one hand and a Provari with either a KFL or a Russian in the other. All of the above mentioned units can give different results based on the build.

The interesting thing I just learned here and never thought of is the Reo and nails! I can see where this is an issue for some of the ladies. The only fix that I can think of right now would be to glue some sort of smooth decorative piece to the juice bottle so that the nails would be less likely be broken by the edge of the window while squonking.

And Chili, Its O.K , we all still love you! ;)

I am a Texas girl and I don't even have long nails, but enough to feel them in the squonking! As long as the nails don't get in the way of going fishing, mudding or camping, it's all good! So how do you get the catfish smell off of your REO? And you just gave me a whole list of possibilities!

How do you get the catfish smell off of your Reo? Soak it in the Paste!......

For the type of outdoor activities you enjoy, I'd say a Provari may be right up your alley. Built like a tank, easy to clean and if it ever breaks down or needs a repair, you have Provape in your corner. I understand that they even clean them up for you if or when they are in need of repair.

So here goes! As some of you know, I just got a REO recently and I was so excited because I dreamed about it for a long time! I know this will be a shocker and not make any sense to most of you, but I just didn't love it. It had nothing to do with not liking making coils or making perfect cotton wicks, because if I say so myself, I did an excellent job! I just can't pin point what it was, but I just knew it was not what I needed. So as of today, my REO mini 2.1 is on its way to a new loving home, where it will be loved and cherished as it should be!

So my journey will continue and I welcome any suggestions my NT family might have! I absolutely love my MVP and will be looking into making it better. I am definitely a tank type gal and am no longer afraid of making coils, after all I have all the equipment now!
So please don't tar and feather me! Although I might look great in some peacock feather! I am really looking for options to give me a better vaping experience on my MVPs.

Please forgive me and let me stay in the family because I Love it here!

Signed,
Fallen REOnot :(

No sweat chili - different strokes, different folks. I'd wait for the P3 before jumping on a Provari - or chase down a nice DNA30 mod.

I started with Provari and now own 2. They have served me flawlessly for 18 mo. and with a Kayfun type tank, it's about as good as it gets. But, recently I was lucky enough to find a Reo Grand VV in the classified ads. I have to say that the Reo delivers flavor that is unattainable with a tank. I got the Reo mainly for out and about because of the form factor, it's so pocket friendly. I am now so enamored with the Reo that I'm sending it back to Reo to get a button upgrade, if I can bring myself to part with it for a week. If I thought I could talk Rob into doing it I would send one of my Provari along with it, and have the chipset and display from the Provari installed in the Reo. I know, I know, that is sacrilege but for me that would be the ultimate mod.

My recommedation these days (and particularly this week) would be to get a Vaporshark rDNA and an EHpro KFL+ V2. VS has a 15% off coupon for a couple more days (code: sharkweek) which means you can get a small DNA30 box mod with replaceable 18650 battery (included VTC4) and onboard charging like an MVP for $165. I have 3 of the smaller DNAs and waiting for the mailman to bring the rDNA.

As for the Kayfun, the EHpro versions have always been more consistant and better performing than other clones, IMO.

Chili- don't feel the need to explain why it wasn't right for you!!
There is no product on this planet that is a perfect fit for everyone! Just because there are lots and lots of us that love the REO absolutely does not mean that it is for everyone!
That is why we have variety... how boring would it be anyways if everyone used the exact same thing? Variety is the spice of life and what works best for you may not work for someone else! What works for you is whatever keeps you away from cigarettes- PERIOD!!
You are a member of the NT family- that's all that matters!! :) :)
