I've been thinking about Fall/Winter flavors, too. I'm waiting on an order, and as soon as it arrives I'll be tinkering with Pumpkin Pie, Hot Cocoa, Candy Cane, Cranberry, Gingerbread, etc. I subscribed to this thread and I'll come back and post my percentages shortly.

If you can nail the candy cane, let me know!

I've been trying to get this for a while now, and the peppermint keeps overpowering the sweetness.

I use to buy a premixed juice from a vendor called Vanilla Peppermint Stick and that's what I've been trying to recreate. The vanilla, while not too overpowering, seems to bring out the sweetness. I've made two attempts so far, but it's not quite there. My last attempt was peppermint, french vanilla, a small amount of Bavarian cream, about 4% sweetener (I usually only use 2% sweetener max in recipes, but I think this one calls for a little more). I also used 0.5% menthol, which made it extra minty, without tasting menthol. Having said that however, I think I'll keep menthol out of the next batch. While this concoction was good, it was not as good as the vendor mix. Back to the drawing board. I'll keep you posted.

Has anyone tried TFA Holiday Spice? I'm thinking of picking that one up, too.

Holiday Spice is heavily weighted on the nutmeg - a very good blend for things like Eggnog.
Pumpkin Pie Spice is weighted more on the clove.
Both have a bit of 'other' (including cinnamon), but if I want to actually taste cinnamon, I add extra cinnamon.

not too fond of spice flavors..but I made a vanilla candy kane last year that I liked a lot...trying to find that recipe now....:)

Did you find this recipe??

I read somewhere that the key to a good candy cane is a bit of marshmallow. So, I'm thinking of trying Peppermint, Marshmallow, French Vanilla, Sweetener.

Wizard is out of Peppermint right now, and I'm still trying to vape-up all my fruity summer flavors before I get started on Fall. I'll report back to this tread as soon as I get start playing with Fall recipes.
