Hello to ECF. I've been browsing this forum now since I started vaping (consistantly). Tried them a year ago with some cheap cartomizer/battery that looked like an analog. Enjoyed it and was analog free for about 20 days, then the battery wouldn't charge anymore. Unfortunately, I went back to analogs until 4 weeks ago when a friend handed me an Ego Clone with a clearomizer. Since then, I've been using the Ego Clone (concluded that it's a 900 mah battery) and Kanger EVOD. Never like the tobacco flavors so I went to the sweet fruits right away and never looked back. I must say that everything that I've learned, so far, I've learned from reading ECF. Using a local "Smoke Shop" for e-liquid currently, but can't wait to order some 30ml bottles from MBV. Can't afford to let the liquids steep, so any flavors that you feel are good upon arrival, I need to know about.

Wow, the liquid choices are the toughest to get a handle on. There are many that have great flavors. My suggestion is to order samples. Most vendors have their samples so that they are ready to vape as soon as you get them. You might not have a choice on PG/VG or Nic ratios but you will be able to see if they are something you want to reorder. You can always contact the vendor before ordering to find out if their samples are ready as soon as you receive them.

Thanks Robino, I have seen some vendors that offer samples, but I am sure that I want a "quality" liquid. MBV was reviewed by many as a top quality liquid that's made here in the US, and they have a smorgasbord of flavor options, so I think I'll try them first. It also seems that this so-called 50/50 that I've been using is extremely inconsistent when it comes to taste. One week I'll get a 10ml bottle that taste fabulous, the next, it's just not as flavorful. I have no idea where the stuff is even made, so it could be some China mix. Living out in the back woods doesn't help matters much, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Thanks again for the info.

I haven't tried nearly as many e-juices as other ECF members, but I can tell you that Mt. Baker's Black Ice requires the shortest steeping time of all the MBV flavors I've tried so far. As soon as I received it, I let it sit uncapped for 48 hours (aka "breathing" the juice to let the alcohol used in flavor delivery to evaporate), then I sealed the bottle and steeped it for another five days, and by then it tasted WONDERFUL!

The third day after I capped it, in fact, I couldn't notice any more change in the scent of the juice, so it was probably ready to go then. I've got more coming this week, so I'll try vaping a tiny bit of it each day while it's steeping to see where its "sweet spot" is.

MBV Black Ice is a blackberry/mint/menthol blend. The blackberry is the most prominent flavor, with a very subtle mint/menthol effect. And to me, it's DELICIOUS! I wasn't really crazy about the fruit flavors I had tried before it, so I was sure the same would be true with this one. Man, was I wrong!


P.S. - Just for reference, the average steeping time for MBV e-liquids seems to be around 3 weeks. The tobacco flavors and the more complex blends take the longest, usually 4-6 weeks, while the simpler flavors take 1-2 weeks. There are some exceptions to this, of course - it's only a basic estimate.

You would not believe just how easy it is to make your own. I know I have been pleased and actually prefer the liquids I have made. Plus it is fun. Just something to think about. I think vaping is a wonderful hobby for me. I find the fruit flavors as well as the lighter colored juices tend not to need additional steeping. I love fruit flavors myself and they are shake and vape. Whereas I have tobacco flavors mixed with fruit that get noticeably better with time.

As far as Mt. Baker Vapor goes - my daughter really likes their Hawk Sauce straight out of the mailbox (boy, do I hear it from her if she is out of it). A lot of fruit flavors are good to go right out of the mailbox. I like the bakery and creamier flavors, and they do require some steeping. I, too, would advise getting the smaller, 15 ml bottles to start with. They will steep faster, and you will not have so much wasted eliquid and money if you get some that you absolutely cannot stand. I filled a tank with MBV Butterscotch the day it arrived. SOOOOOO glad I did. It was smooth and slightly creamy. I went with 15mL bottles (because I had another 20 bottles (6ml-15ml) already at home ) +1 on Hawk Sauce too.

I don't doubt that for a second. Many great replies and there's not enough time to hit the high points. Greatly appreciate the advise, although I'm not a fan of mint/menthol at all. Got some menthol ice, for my wife to try, I tasted it....Not for me!




Thanks for everyone's input. All things considered...I'm probably just going to focus on getting a better setup (possible mod/pyrex tank) and worry about juices later....I want to be able to taste everything that's thrown at me, properly.

I've read GREAT things about that Moo Juice and I've tried the "local" orange/cream mix and was fairly impressed. I think that the Moo Juice just may be one flavor that will be on my first order.

That's cool. One of the things that makes vaping great is the diversity!

I haven't even come close to counting them all - I doubt anyone has - but judging from the several dozen big-name e-juice vendors I've shopped, and considering that there are many, many more than just those out there, I figure there must be at least several thousand e-liquid flavors available today. Almost any flavor you could imagine.

One thing I found odd is that I don't like vaping e-liquids with flavors that are the same as foods I eat. I LOVE blueberry anything, for instance, so I was excited to get my MBV Blueberry and Blue Moo orders. And they tasted great. But after a few minutes of vaping each of them, I realized that what I like to eat and what I like to vape are two different things. So far I seem to only prefer menthol or minty flavors, and some of the other flavors only if they are accompanied by menthol or mint.

My mind probably still equates vaping with smoking, even though there's really no reason to. My brain's saying, "You're inhaling smoke, mist or vapor from the air? Well, I've decided the only thing that will taste right to you will have to be something very similar to that stuff you inhaled for three decades... menthol."



Oh well. Maybe if I can gradually train my mind out of associating vaping with smoking purely by physical ritual, then one day I can actually enjoy vaping caramel apple, banana cream, fruit punch and - most importantly - blueberry anything!

Oh, and I just thought of something you may find handy if you want to sample a fairly wide number of different e-liquids... ZampleBox. I haven't tried it yet, myself, but I intend to soon. They offer a "curation" feature that allows you to at least somewhat tailor your preferences, which will determine the flavor types they send you more of or less of.

Anything you get will get better with age IMHO.
Take a look at the Lucky 7 site. It takes longer to get, but if you plan it so you have enough to last until you get it you won't turn back. you can get 236 for 39.99 at MBV or 250 at Lucky 7 for 25.99

I agree Rat2Chat2....making your own is so satisfying, I have about 10 flavors of my own that I enjoy as much, if not more than the store bought ones...I still too, look for deals/steals to "try" new flavors which causes the "competitor" in me to come out and try to replicate them!!!

I just made my version of the Steam Co's Merlyn's Bow that if I didn't tell you it was homemade, you'd never know, so I am tickled as many of my friends love the MB. Now I can make up a big batch and we'll always have some on hand. Lovin' this hobby!!!
