Hi again, Gang:

I have received a few questions in my private mailbox on this forum, to which I have answered; however, for some reason, they are still "stuck" in the outbox. They were good questions, so I thought I'd share them with everyone publicly and delete the initial senders' names in order to respect their privacy.

QUESTION: Have you recevied your order of KISSBOX?
What can you say if you compare it with njoy, sadenca and smart fixx?

I have used mini cig and e-cig sigarello and njoy.. I only liked njoy.. And now i want to buy something new..
you have tried many brand.. which one you can adivce to me?
I am about to going to buy KISSBOX.. but i wanted to learn your opninon about it..

Thank you very muc..
Best Regards,

ANSWER: I agree that out of the ones you have tried, Njoy is the best. I really think the Sedansa pen style is my favorite. And I really like the Janty Classic Kissbox, but I am waiting on replacement parts due to defective manual switches. Once I get the new-and-improved manual switches for my Janty Classic KISSBox, I will be in a better position to say whether or not the Janty becomes my favorite over the Sedansa pen style.

Please read my latest post under "General E-Smoling Discussion" entitled "Happy, Happy, Happy" . . .

QUESTION: Can you tell me a little more about the Sendansa? I was thinking about getting one of those (in pink if they still sell them). How are the cartridges? Vapor? Thanks!

ANSWER: Hi "Jane Doe":

Sorry for such a delayed response. I've been dealing with health issues, as well as trying to run a busy office.

I really like the punch that Sedansa has. I'm the type that likes the "hit" at the back of the throat when I inhale, and Sedansa seems so consistent and smooth in that regard. I buy nothing but the "rose" or "pink" ones for my family and friends. Those are, in fact, our favorites of all brands.

I do drip and I do refill my own cartridges. If you maintain the atomizers by blowing out the residue on a regular basis, you shouldn't have a problem. I have some pink atomizers that are very old and still work great. You should always clean the threads of the batteries as well as the threads in the atomizer so good contact can be made at all times.

I love their cartridges too, though, and they are of high quality and last a decent amount of time, depending on how much you puff, which I puff a lot. You should always drag nice and long but lightly in order to get the best feel and the best steam. If you drag too hard, it makes the fiber go down more quickly; then you don't get as good of a drag when it's too low. But I'd say their cartridges are one of the best. I keep mine in the fridge.

I dunno, but a private message is just that, private.

If I sent someone a PM, I would not want that on the board.
If I want it on the board, I'll put it there.

;)
sanneke,
I don't want to be argumentative but I don't understand your objection here.

Hi NerdyCinderella:

Thank you for speaking on my behalf. I agree that I did not break any confidences by posting those innocuous (good) questions. They were general in nature, and I in no way divulged who sent me the private posts. I'm sure the persons who sent me these questions would want to share-and-tell with our e-cigarette community, just as I did with my answers.

Thank you for your support, NerdyCinderella!

Since I am having difficulty in getting my responses out of the outbox and into the private parties' inboxes, I felt the courteous thing to do was to at least respond in the only other way I could, and that was through a public post. Again, I left their names out of the public post. The action I took was made with the best intentions.

A PM is just that, a PM.

Where does one draw the line when it comes to PM's?
One might think it's okay to post it, while an other one does not.

ETA, it should be a general rule, no postings of PM's.
I totally agree. Posting PMs (Personal Messages) is just a no-go, a "never ever do this". You do not post PMs in any public place, neither in a Forum nor elsewhere. There are very very few exceptions of this rule - the thread here is none of them.
The thing to do would be to wayt until the PMs arrive, to resend them or to find out the email adresses of the recipients and send it trough there.

Generally in forum software, private messages will sit in the outbox until they are opened by the recipient.

Thank you for letting me know. And they're still sitting in the outbox. I thought they went directly into the sent folder once sent. SmokeyJoe has looked into this in the past for me.

Also, does anyone know if we are supposed to be notified by the e-mail when we receive a private post or a response to a regular post, as I am not notified either way? I checked, and my e-mail address is correct. Thank you!

Not as far as I know marian. However, SJ just informed me (see under thread, "logo request") that the new software will be VBulletin and I believe email notification is a standard feature with the new program.

Oh, that'll be great -- the new software. I do not want to appear rude by seemingly appearing to ignore messages to me when I don't even know about them. I always checkmark Notify me when a reply is posted at the bottom of every post I write, but I have yet to be notified. Thank you for your response!

Eeesh.

Is this really that big of a deal? I mean, sure sure, if someone PM'd her and said, "Hey, you know what? I think that Uncle Midriff punk is really dumb and he stinks," and then she posted that PM with the along with the person's username, that'd be out of line.

But that's not what she did. Someone asked her a (not considerably personal) question, she answered it, thought the PM system was malfunctioning, and took care of the situation as best she knew how. And even though the questions weren't personal at all, she didn't post the usernames of the people that asked her.

So, the information gets to the people who asked the question, helps some other people along the way, and anonymity is retained. The hugely awful faux pas that has taken place here is...what exactly?

Certainly, in general, the rule should be that PMs stay private. I understand that. But it's not as if marian00 decided to start posting PMs all willy-nilly.

Hi UncleMidriff (hilarious name):

Very well stated, spoken like a true lawyer. Thank you for coming to my defense, Uncle. My intentions were well meant, as you say, and I am not going to go "willy-nilly" on anybody! Thanks, Uncle.
