My cobra clone came DOA. I knew I would have to rebuild the coil as soon as I received it so that was the first thing I did. There is continuity between the negative post and the negative side of the connector and between the positive post and center pin on the connector. When connected to both my battery and my usb pass through there is a connection on the negative side but not the positive side.
Has this happened to anyone? Any suggestions?
TIA

Looks more like the DID clone I have sitting in front of me, anyway, your positive pin is pulled too far into the insulator, remove the three nuts and push the positive pin down so it is flush with the bottom of the connector, then reinstall the three nuts, dont tighten the first nut too tight or you'll have the same problem again.

I knew it was recessed, that's why I chose those pics, I just didn't know what to do about it.
This is my first genesis style and I thought someone would come through here.
I didn't show enough. The post is how it came, and screws into the bottom.
I also tried using a ego-510 adapter because it has a raised post that I thought
would eliminate any problems with the recess.
