Not sure if this is the right place for this, but...

I placed my first order with fasttech on the 14th, and it shipped on the 15th. A few days later, I was checking the status of the order, and I noticed that the state part of the address had been changed from SC to AL. Everything else (name/street address/city/ZIP code) is correct.

When I placed the order, I not only specified SC in my fasttech profile (it still shows SC on the profile), but during the order process, I specified they use my address on record with Paypal (which is also SC) and with which I have ordered from other places before and have received my order with no issue. Not sure how it got changed to AL.

I've opened a ticket with them on their website, but after a bit of back and forth, they simply refuse to do anything about it. They suggest I contact USPS, but I doubt anyone but the shipper would be able to alter the address. I'm kind of hoping that USPS will notice the error and ship it to the correct place when they see the ZIP code, as I don't think there is a town in AL with the same name as mine, but it's a shot in the dark.

Anyone have any suggestions? This is my first time ordering internationally, and I'm not sure where to go from here.

Also, ever since the order showed up on the USPS tracker, the status has been "origin post is preparing shipment". What does this mean, and does it usually stay this way for 2+ weeks?

If the zip code is correct you'll probably be fine because USPS will notice the error. I'd imagine it will add some extra wait time though.

It probably wouldn't hurt to contact USPS anyway. You're right you probably won't be able to change the address over the phone, but you could at least point out to them that the state/zip code don't match and let them take whatever action they deem necessary. Better than a random employee seeing the package and saying "this address doesn't exist" and sending it back to FT adding more unneccesary delays.

Afaik USPS works off of zipcode first so you may have a chance it will end up in the proper place or at least be flagged for human inspection.

Which delivery option did you choose for your fasttech order?
Their standard free worldwide shipping option. I believe it's registered airmail.

My bad, try this. Thought it was shipped via hkp.

Click on "Track item" box on the left hand side.

You got that right!

Singpost requires siGNposts to help them locate the addresses. They should be renamed siGNpost.
Their motto : Your parcels are only trackable with signposts. Without them, your parcels are toast.

USPS keycodes all packages at their Bulk mail centers (NDC) by zip codes ONLY, and then they throw them on planes, trains, and trucks delivery to the nearest NDC to you who will then send it to the local PO based on the zip code......then your local PO will deliver it to your house based on the address....so U should get it at your home..so the USPS is all zip code based until it hits your local PO, and then the carriers/mailman and clerks sort it by address and routes....USPS doesn't even look at the address until it hits the local PO...

I have found that the many local vape shops in Florida have no clue what they are selling , and are a quick throw up shop to make a fast buck..and I also have noticed the exact same thing at the vape shops near my other home in Massachusetts...I honestly will not support any of my local vape shops which usually consist of 1-2 guys , who quadruple their prices for only greed and a huge profit margin, and sell things they know nothing about...I have learned way much more here at ECF, then I could in a million years through the local vape shops...and I don't care if the local vape shops allegedly do help the local economy, cause they are just stealing from people and helping themselves, not the local economy or the US....I do buy from many US cwebsites which offer much help and fair prices..I'm not going to wave the flag and say hurrah for any local vape shop who is buying from China themselves...I can do that myself and benefit myself and friends and people who seriously want to quit tobacco, rather than some "get rich quick" dude who opens a local vape shop to steal from people with outrageous inflated prices and paying himself triple as much as the customers earn..

BTW..I own a vape shop myself inside my sports bar..and sell simple ego's, clearos, starter kits, juice, etc for the same price I pay plus $5, and I donate the extra $5 to childrens cancer....peoples greed will destroy this country and the character of its people..
