So, I placed an order with fasttech on December 10. It's scheduled to be delivered tomorrow. I should mention that it's a fixed battery so I'm thinking that 26 days with all the strange regulation on the importation of batteries isn't all that bad.

I'm thinking that turnaround time on packages that don't contain batteries should take half that. Any input?

I've placed around 13 orders in the last 7 months, 3 of which have been placed in the last 1.5 months. All of them with the exception of one order has been in my mailbox between 8-14 days after listed as shipped using HKP, most are 10 days. I've never had a package returned to ft.

I have not bought any batteries since they started the crackdown a few months ago.

Its not as simple as that ... First off you have to consider the time of year. Its holiday season so shipping is always going to be slower as this time. The Chinese New Year is also coming up, so people are trying to get their orders in before then which = system overload. The shipping provider chosen is also a factor in how long a package will take to arrive. Hong Post and Epacket/China Post appear to be the fastest still during the holiday, and non holiday seasons.

Shipping times won't be back to normal until around March/April .. Under normal circumstances shipping via HKP or E packet take 7-12 days for delivery to US. My orders placed with Fasttech back in October were all received within 8 days. However, my non battery related orders that shipped on 12/26 have already exceeded that time frame.

I have used FT for about 15 orders. Here is what I have learned from experience and from posters on the dedicated FT thread; break large orders up into smaller ones. As long as the orders qualify for the free shipping it doesn't matter. Do not order batteries or anything containing batteries, for example, an MVP2. Lastly, plan your orders about 4-6 weeks out if you can, this really helps with the torture of checking the tracking every few days and the disappointment of an empty mailbox for weeks on end! I do not order anything I NEED from there, only things I think I want! I live on the East Coast. I placed 2 orders from them on 12/14 and they arrived yesterday. Not bad at all. They went through SP and they came halfway around the world to me for free! I can't mail a letter across the street for free! Ordering from FT will teach you patience and will put the fun back into your mailbox. It's like being a kid again! Enjoy!

The Singapore post tracking is very slow to update. I use the tracker at Track Shipment(s). It shows my package moving 4 times when all sing post say information received. Sing post will only update when it gets shipped to the US. Most of my orders coming from sing post take about 3 weeks. I have five orders coming through singapore, so far they are on track for 18-24 days. I have one order coming epacket from china post, so we'll see.

I placed my first order with Fasttech 12/13 - some Iclears and coils. Per USPS tracking the order left Los Angeles on 1/4 and should be delivered to the SF Bay Area in the next couple of days - so about 3 1/2 weeks. The price was much better than what I could find locally or US online. Assuming there are no problems with this order (please) and as long as I don't need anything right away, a month +/- is ok to wait for delivery, and it's a type of item that I am very unlikely to need to return I would order again.
