Faulty EVOD TANK - (BCC) - About to punch my own head off - advice please.

Hello Mateys

Bought some kanger evod bcc tanks to replace some rubbish iclear16s I had on my innokin v3, and now I feel like kicking myself in the face.

At first, the vape was hard to draw but plentiful, then, after a quick walk to the shop with it in my pocket, my first drag was basically just liquid, and the second was the same.

On removing the tank, the connection terminal was dripping with juice and the tank had emptied in my pocket.

now ive cleaned and reconnected it, the bloody thing wont even register and the green light stays on for about 10 seconds, completely inactive.

Whats the problem with this pile of junk??

Again, its a v3 and the tanks are 2.5 ohm EVOD bccs.

I also bought some replacement coils for them.

thanks in advance

suicidal vaper.

The local vapor shop I go to won't even sell the Evod clearomizer anymore. I wanted to buy one because I was curious and they just gave me one for free out of what they called their "trash bucket" which was full of brand new ones. Long story short it leaked EVERYWHERE. I tried different ways of modifying it and was unable to make it stop leaking. Evod clearomizers are indeed junk.

Try replacing the coil.

Also, try adding some additional wicking material across the top of the coil. Remove the stem and add some more silica or cotton where the loose flavor wicks are. The wicking material needs to be sufficient to draw and maintain the right amount of liquid to the heat source. If there's not enough wicking material, the tank will leak. If the wicking material is gunked up, not enough liquid moves across the coil and you get burnt taste.

I have Evods, MT3S, Protanks, Aro's and X10's. All are bottom coil devices and none of them cause problems that weren't my own stupid fault.

Sounds a bit strange why a B&M store would throw out the best selling BCC as junk. How many air holes are there in the bottom screw on cap?

Maybe they saw that PBusardo video and yanked all of the flavor wicks out.

Agree with most replies - I have and use 6 different toppers, and EVODs stay in the mix, as no-fuss devices.
Leaks can be caused by
a) Loose coil - and it can loosen during use. Tighten it every time you refill
b) Overtightening the base or tightening crooked to the point you crack the tank. The head's tube sort of pushes UP against the airtube when you tighten it, and can stress-fracture the tank.

Hi

Tried everything and they are still crap, at least one vapes, although its like sucking on thin air. I like the "own stupid fault" statement there, thanks for that, sadly all I did was unpack it, check it, fill it and expect it to work as paid for. so I cant agree that it was my own stupid fault. Perhaps the back alley scratcher who sold me knock offs should re-think the tack they sell.

Infact screw this, im upgrading to the SVD, this innokin v3 is a pile of crap anyway, and now im really peed off, I hate getting ripped off.

Your expectations are right, unfortunately the vaping technology isn't there yet.. Most of the times a bit of extra effort is needed for things to work as they should have.

No one here is accusing you of 'stupid errors', you just need some more practice.

That said, EVODs are normally good performers, requiring little fiddling if any to give their best. Lemons happen, though, and that's probably what you've got.. Ask the vendor for a replacement, or at least to fix that EVOD for you.

It is strange. Could be clones for all I know. I believe I still have an Evod laying around here somewhere so I'll fiddle with it a bit more. Though I may never use it because I've been spoiled by RBAs.

First you ranted about the Evod now it's the iTaste vv3. No one called you stupid. You asked for help.

The only leak issue I have had with any of my Kangers, including an EVOD, is after I cleaned up one of my T3s clearos. I must not have gotten everything situated correctly, as I got major flooding and gurgling, and a nice amount of juice on top of the battery when I took it off.

I unscrewed the head, screwed it back on, and have had no issues with it since. I chalked it up to not getting it on as tight as I should have the first time. I have had a few "less than full flavor" hits on each one, but nothing consistent that would make me think it was a major issue. I may try a flavor wick replacement or the cheesecloth wick transplant sometime just for fun, but I'm happy with them as is so far.

That was me, and perhaps it was a poor attempt at self-deprecating humor.

My Evods did work right out of the box, but I thought (as I always do) that I could take a fairly well engineered system and make it better. All I did was cause problems.
