Faulty MPV2?

Hi guys,

Just got my MPV2 and attached the iclear30....nothing.......attached the protank2...nothing.

What am i doing wrong?

The battery is fully charged...goes green when I press the button but no vape at all.

If i have the ic30 attached and press the P and U it says A2.1 so I presume it knows its there...but I cannot draw through the tank at all....no air can go in or out..

If I have the PT2 attached it just says non on the display when I press the U and P together, I cant believe ive got 2 faulty tanks..

I have no other tanks to try...have I put the tanks together wrong!?!??

im no expert to vaping, but i also have a mvp2 and have noticed especially with my protank 2 that it will not make contact if completely seated on the mvp2. however if i unscrew it just a bit and move the beauty ring up with it, it will find a connection.. hope that made sense.

If the mvp will read the ohms of whichever tank you attach than the connection is fine I should think (I'm no mvp masta). Are you using the convertor ring that came with the mvp or another one? Def seems like something is blocking the air flow.

Ok update...the little white plastic top thing on the iclear30 had no hole in it! I put a hole through with a safety pin and it still didnt work correctly so i cut a tiny bit off the top...got the hole. The iclear30 now seems to work...as if they dont put a hole in the plastic bit...no wonder no air was going in or out!!! faulty? should I complain?

Now to the protank2...why is that not connecting....ill try the advise above.

If you press the + and - button together (which reads the resistance of the device attached) and it reads NON it means it is either not reading the device attached (no connection, make sure the 510 connection firing pin is making contact) or there is a short in the device's coil.

Sometimes on the MVP, when you attach a new tank, it's best to do so with it turned off. When you turn it on with the tank attached, it should read it if it has a good coil. At least that's what I've had to do a few times but not always.

With mine using the provided beauty ring always works, If I use the pro-tank one it don't seat quite right.

Ok I have the iclear working.

But I now have the base STUCK on the protank2. I cannot get the bottom off it. I think ive tightened it too much? Cant find anything to grip and my thumbs hurt....I think ill just chuck the tank in the drawer tonight...its done my head in.

Oh my!! If and when you get it apart, only tighten it enough to feel some resistance. Same apples when putting it on your battery. Over-tightening can cause a myriad of problems.

Just read another thread a few days ago about over tightening the protanks. It compresses the silicone insulator at the bottom of the coil and cuts off all air flow. Just enough to make contact, don't torque it down.

Simple Fix!....I took a pick and lifted the pin on my MVP 2, then all you need is a small O-Ring and place it under the pin. Works like a champ now with any tank and you can screw your tank down flush.
