I want to get some LR attys or carts for my Ego-C and i was wondering which have worked the best by your experince?
(btw neither 306 nor 510 fits through the Ego-C cone, right?)

and why is there a 2$-7$ range for attys that look the same to me and why are cartomizers usually cheaper, shouldt they cost more?

thank a lot,
cheers

here is one example i dont understand why the 3 fold difference in price:

cartomizer : Smok Tech 1.7 ohm 510 Cartomizers
atomizer : 510 Smok Tech 2.0ohm Atomizer

I use the cone over both my 306 and 510 atomizers (need a long drip tip for the 306) It works pretty well at containing the mess, but a drip shield works better.
Which atty will work best is a personal thing. I think of this or that atty as tasting different, not better or worse. I've never had a $2 atty so I can't tell you if they are worse or not. I have a $22 one tho'.

2ohm Boge cartos are all I ever used on my eGo, but a lot of guys like the 1.7ohm SmokTech.

The most popular LR cartos for an eGo are probably the Boge 2.0ohm or Smoktech 1.7ohm. The standard eGo cone should fit over them with no problem. Personaly, I prefer the CE2 type clearos. My favorite is the CE2 Clearomizer Ultimate. The vision line is also pretty good and so are the Stardusts.

Standard cartos are cheaper because they are disposable. In my experience they only last for up to a week. They can be cleaned, but I was never too successful with it. CE2's can be easily cleaned with good results and mine last for a month or more.

    Good Luck.

do you have the Ego-C? i was under the impression that the C model cone doesnt go over it because of the extra ring inside that holds the atomizer head?

what exactly does that stand for?
is the DCC part: dual coil clear?
if it is, i have heard ppl dont recommend dual coil for Ego batteries.do you have a different experience?
    tnx

Ego Mega Dual Coil Cartomizer. Very low resistance dual coils will probably shorten oyur battery life or burn out the circuits in it. You should be fine with dual coils at or above 1.5 ohms. In my experience, dual coils are best suited for higher voltages (5V). With an eGo i would stick to single coil cartos.

I've been using the Smoktech mega dual coil cartomizer so far and I like it a lot... I've even been vaping it with pure VG, and have had no dry hits at all... Plus it's fairly cheap, usually $2.50-$4 and has a huge capacity for fluid. No cone necessary as this is the full width of an ego battery... I also just ordered a new ce2 style cartomizer, but have yet to try it out... I've seen reviews of it called the Green 360 on youtube, but it's got different names wherever you buy it from. (I picked up mine from Vulcan Vape, they call it the vulcan cartomizer)

stands for Ego Mega Dual Coil Cartomizer. I heard that about the bats after I started using them, but I have had no issues. Two of my four batteries are over nine months old too. It is true they use more power (perhaps that's why they are sooo good!) my 1100 mah batteries last about 6-8 hours before needing a charge. I put a fresh one on in the am, then change them out at about five p.m. No big deal. I have genuine Joye EGO batts though.

And oh yeah, I am a chain vaper when not at work. Also had to reduce my nic from 24 to 18 cause these puppies have such a great hit!

I have only been at this for a month. Started with a Halo G6 then a friend showed me a EGO-C and I had to have it. I bought the cheapest one I could find. Bad decision. It was supposed to come with 5 attys but only came with 3. Two of them went in the first two weeks. Bought 5 replacements (also on the cheap @ $12.95 for 5). I get a lot of dry hits on the first two I tried. Yuk! Also bought 5 CE2 XL clearomizers from the same place. I get a lot of hot/dry hits on them also. Thought using 100% VG in the CE2 was the problem but got the same result with 40/60 PG/VG.
So far the best vape I get is on the G6 cartridges on the EGO battery with the 510/808 adapter. This is not what I bought this battery for.
So, I am very interested in this thread.

Out of the box CE2's don't work well with high VG juices. Unless you mod them I would stay below 30%VG. If you want to fiddle with them, take the cup seal out and enlarge the notches over the wicks or simply just pull up on the seal. The reason for dry hits is that the wicks get pinched by the seal. If you give them more room to do their job they'll work better.

Romul (OP) - you probably now understand that the ego-c cone is an atomizer - that's why you can't fit another atomizer or cartomizer thru it. If you like that look you'll have to buy a standard ego cone to use with another atomizer/carto.

As to why the difference in price between carto/atomizer - it's mostly economy of scale, a lot more cartos are sold than atomizers(IMHO).

As to the range of prices on atomizers, there are some differences in construction but the major cost differential is marketing.

Finally, as to the "best" ejuice delivery system for ego - this is truly subjective so you'll get a lot of different opinions: Smoktech Resurrectors (1.7 ohm), Boge 2.0 cartos, fluxomizers/clearomizers, Dual Coil devices, tanks like Vision Grande/Extreme/Stardust. My personal favorite is the Ego Clearomizer/Stardust: no leaks, looks awesome, holds enough ejuice to last awhile, minimum fiddling, easy to fill, cleanable/modifiable, and a great value (IMHO, YMMV). There may be another device that will supplant the stardust on ego batts but I haven't tried it yet.

I hope the above answers your questions. Take care.

I found some cone shaped cartos that actually thread on the larger portion of the EGO battery where the cone would in Minnesota (wish I had bought more!!!) as I cant find them anywhere. I can find the ECHO E that works with the 510 thread but it threads into the battery connector not onto the cone, not sure why I like it threaded to the cone I just do. The cartos work well, and hold alot of juice. Hopefully I will have a need for another trip to MN soon to get some more.
