I liked the vamo. eGo twists are always a good standby. I haven't used lava tubes since the v1, but they always seemed to die on me. If you consider $150 reasonably priced then that opens you up to Zmax, vmax, eVic, etc. for just a little more you could get a Provari. I don't really think $150 is reasonably priced. Heheh.

If around $150 is your reasonable price, I can't think of a good reason to not get a provari.

The rest in order

evic (if you don't go over 5volt/whatever the watts is)/itaste MVP (if you don't go over the limits)/sigelei zmax/lavatube 2/vamo

wildcard is the innokin svd, we know the chip but innokin usually has good build quality/finish for the price

Alternative

legacy with kick (vw)...in this option you end up with a damn nice mech that can do vw with said kick

Well you could look at a Saber Touch form Vapormoon, it's a solid device from all I've heard and can be had in VV model. Also a Buzz or Infinity Pro from NotCigs would be a good device. You don't here of many problems with these devices and they seem to be built for long life. I believe they are made here in the USA.

For a backup you might think about a VP2 from Varplife, not VV but not expensive either. They have a Joker that is VV though. I have no experience with these but the VP2 has been around awhile.

My budget mod choice is the Anyvape CVI, I love it because it fits Kangers, has a removable well cover, has both vv/vw, every part dissembles, even the head and without wires, has all the protections built in and simply everything I have put on this PV just performs better.

My Vamo died after 3 months, I'm currently rebuilding it.
