The Vamo has a shorty mode. If you want it to. Just simply unscrew the bottom portion of the tube and reattach the bottom cap and you have a shorty.

I can throw my hat in for the Vamo. It's solid as a rock, has many simple to use functions, and easily converts to a smaller device simply by taking off the middle section and using 18350's. Me being a bit of a klutz, it's been dropped a few times, and it keeps on working as if to say "that all ya got?", so I can vouch for it being a hard device to kill. Lastly is the price point. It's hard for anything to beat the Vamo in it's price range. I feel it should be beyond satisfactory for what you are looking for.

I personally own an evic and a Vamo v2. I just got the Vamo in the mail today. I'm not sure what happened but the Vamo seems to have a more consistent power delivery than the evic. For some reason at the same wattage I just get a better vape on the Vamo. Also the Vamo has one additional feature that the evic does not have and is the included shorty mode. You can buy a shorty tube for the evic but the evic is already more than 2x the cost of the Vamo. The only negative for the vamo vs the evic is that the Vamo is a scratch and fingerprint magnet. That is easily resolved by getting a nice wrap for it from either J-Wraps or Vapor Skinz or wherever. I do not regret buying the evic but I definitely am enjoying the Vamo.

I took some pics earlier today for another topic but you can see the relative sizes of each device. From left to right is the evic, Vamo 18650 mode, ego C twist 650, and vamo in 18350 (shorty) mode.

I think it's Vamo for the win. With the shorty mode I'm sold. It's just got too many pluses going for it. I do have backups already in the form of the ego twist. I have four ego batteries ATM. Two twists, an upgrade and a standard 650mah. I do like switching clearos often. That's why I'm sold on the VW mode. I'm goin to order this weekend. Thanks all.

Thanks for the links but I was looking for information on batteries in vaping. What type are you guys typically using in your devices. What do I need to know about battery safety pertaining to vaping. I see battery numbers thrown around all the time, what do they mean? What does 18350 mean? Is it the physical size? Does 18530 reference MAH or volts in some way? What brands are considered the best and worst? How long do they last(in cycles not MAH) typically? Is one chemistry safer than others? I see the Vamo will take two small batteries. Is this what is referred to as stacking batteries? I have seen mentions of safety and stacking. I hear AW and IMR before battery numbers all the time, what do they mean? Things like that. These are the questions I have off the top of my head. I've read lots of helpful articles on the ECF but can't find one on batteries. I'm sure there is one but I can't find it. I tend to not google info on ecigs as most of what I get is written by someone with an agenda. Someone trying to sell me something. I like the info here because its usually written by someone who enjoys educating "me". If it wasn't for this site I would certainly be back to analogs or still on the Blu ecig.

Has anyone put a T3 on their Vamo? I read in a post earlier in this thread you can screw a T3 on the Vamo but in one of the youtube reviews they say you can not. It has the ego cone threading but not enough room for the T3. I'm loving the T3 and would be disappointed if that was the case. I did however buy my first carto tank last week and have been quite impressed with it.

I'd go notcigs blemished IPro, charger/battery combo, second pair of batteries., list just under $100, try "ECF Buzzkill" coupon code during checkout (stage 4 of the process), see if that still works. Ask which top cap it has (808, 510,...), they would probably flip to another if you prefer something else.

Very good performance, excellent run time, US made, proven track record, excellent customer service.

I just looked at the ipro and its not for me. As started in my first post I want something VV/VW. I might be missing something but for the same or less money I can get a lot more features and power. I like toys and gadgets so something with a display and an ohm meter is the way I will go. Is there a reason for this minimalistic type of vaping? I'm fairly new to vaping so that's an honest question, not being a smart ..... I can see how a device like this would be far more reliable and a great backup. Less things to break for sure. I can also see the "vape by taste" that comes with the wheel and experience. I guess this being my first device past the twist I want some bells and whistles. I am also very sold on VW vaping.

No problem, just an option, very solid VV gear. Some people care about screens, VW, others don't. The gear I use all lasts a long time, takes abuse (drops onto concrete, etc.) well, no worries about plastic fittings, misaligned connectors, poor contacts,...

There can be very good mass produced equipment, however be aware that there tend to be corners cut, ,we end up acting as beta testers for things, often multiple generations before a product solidifies.

In my case, I may vary the voltage up or down a couple times a day, that's about it, otherwise I want the PV to stay exactly where it is set, right until I need to change batteries. The notcigs gear does that extremely well.

Liking toys and gadgets, the notcigs kit isn't for you, but is good to know about.

I own both a Smok Zmax and a Vamo. I have not had any problems with the screen or fire button on the Zmax. I have been using it almost exclusively for almos 4 months. Mine has been rock solid.
The Vamo is a recent purchase. It is also a solid pv. My mother has 3 vamos, 2 of them for longer than I have had the Zmax, and she has had no problems at all. Both are great pvs in my opinion.
I like the look of the Zmax better, but I think they are pretty equal in build quality.

Good luck !

I also personally own a couple of T3s and a few Kanger EVODS (newer smaller version of the t3). The T3 simply will not fit on the Vamo. The EVOD screws in but has no airflow at all. If you really want to use the kanger t3 or some recessed ego device then you can just purchase an inexpensive "510 to eGo" adapter. It should raise the ego threading high enough to get the bottom of the T3 out of the well.

510 to [eGo] Adapter

Better yet, save your T3s for your eGos. If you have not heard of them yet I would suggest you look into an iClear 30. I know it's a completely different animal than the T3 but it is GOOOOOD :) I am a complete convert to carto tanks and cartos now but for convenience I sometimes still like to revert to the iClear.

Thanks. I hoped it would fit the newer version on the Vamo but I guess not. It's not a deal breaker by any means. The T3 works best at low voltage anyhow. Like you said the adapter is always an option. I watched a review for the I clear and will pick one up soon to try it. The T3 has just been working so well I would hate to change. I really like the bottom coil stuff. I will say though. The carto tank I bought was a cheap one just as a test run and I've put almost a 15ml bottle of juice through it with out a flaw. Not one dry hit or leak or burnt taste. Just perfect. I've never used a boge carto so ill put one in my next order. Going to put together a big order this weekend. Can't wait!

I own a eVc, and can tell you I've had a couple issues with it. eVic: The screen can't be read out doors, I've had it change itself from vv to vw, when I take the top off my tank to refill juice, it shuts itself off. I have also turned the unit on and have it not remember where it was when it was turned off. Recommend the eVic? No, not at this time.
Never had the screen change from vv to vw.

Never had the eVic shut itself off taking off a tank to refill juice. Short-circuiting by the load itself will however kick the protection circuitry into gear as it should.

After firmware update 1.1 the eVic has always remembered all settings.

Recommend this review? No.
