Hello all,

was just wondering (from some people who have tried more than one vendor) what your favorite vendor for flavors is?

I've only tried two; I got some fruity tasting ones from LorAnns, and a coffee flavored one from Flavor Apprentice. I'm happy with what I've tried, just looking to broaden my horizons.

I also had another question. Lets say I made 10 mls of a Pomegranate e-liquid solution, 20 mg nic, 60/40 PG/VG, 15% flavoring. I kept it non-refrigerated, and towards the end, it just didn't seem to taste as good as it did when I first got it. I don't remember where I got that pomegranate, it came as a 2 or 3 ml sample when I made a big order for supplies from another site (I think I was buying bottles of PG, VG, and bottles of 100 mg/ml nic liquid for dilution). Will the flavor degrade if I don't refrigerate it, or use it quickly? It didn't sit around terribly long... maybe just 2 weeks or 3 at the max.

I don't know about shelf-life as I've only been vaping for 2 weeks, but I'd like to know about that too!

I ordered the Sweet Sampler from Puresmoker, and so far my fav flavors are Peanut Butter Cup and Karma Scotch. I also got the Tonic Nillanova from them, and it's by far my favorite juice yet!!

I tried Bloog's Cherry, and it wasn't that great.

I ordered from MsTsBakery, but those will be here tomorrow!

I really like Inawera flavors. Their Wera Garden flavors are awesome! And super concentrated, probably the most concentrated flavors on the market (you only need 1 - 3 drops / 5 ml).

Flavors don't degrade quickly. Well, most don't. But some flavors change after a couple days (this is called "steeping"). I haven't had any flavors that changed drastically. Honestly, I hardly even notice the changes. So, you probably just feel the difference brought on by steeping. Another explanation I can offer is that the same flavors tend to taste different on certain days. Even if you're not doing anything different. It's kind of like what happens with food. You might really like a certain type of food on some days but not want to have any of it on other days.

Flavor doesn't normally degrade when it isn't refrigerated. It doesn't require refrigeration, although I suppose you could. Cold actually dulls flavor and it won't taste right again until it reaches room temperature.

There are sometimes big differences in taste between flavor manufacturers, and everyone has their favorites. I prefer The Flavor Apprentice and Flavor Arts for my DIY. When flavors sit (we call it steeping or aging) the flavors develop and some will become more pronounced. This is probably what happened to your juice and the flavor changed enough so that it was stronger. You might want to try mixing this flavor at 10% and see what happens with it.

If you don't keep your bottles in a cool, dark place they can go bad on you. If heard too many negatives about refrigerating ejuice but I've also read that it is ok to freeze unflavored nic juice. Refrigerating ejuice can cause condensation in the bottles which can change to flavor somewhat. I've never refrigerated or frozen any of my juice so I can't speak from experience, just from what I've read.

Edit: So far Perfumers Apprentice has been my favorite source of flavoring.
