Does anyone know a good vanilla type flavor I can add to RY4? So far I have tried Hangsen's Vanilla, Vanilla Swirl from TFA, French Vanilla, Vienna Cream and Catalan Cream from FA. None have worked for me.

About the only vanilla I've found that works well with most tobacco mixes I make is FA Vanilla Tahity.

Following a post by LoveVanilla way back in the TFA thread, my best luck has been with mixtures, currently TFA Vanillin, Vanilla Swirl, and Vanilla Bean Gelato. Still not fantastic but pretty good and not too hard on coils.

If you still have some of the Hangsen and Swirl, try mixing them, use small amounts that you can scarcely taste fresh, give it a couple of weeks to develop, and see if that seems to be on the right track.

I'd say the TFA Vanillin is a good starting point because it does have the deep vanilla note. Several use it alone but for me it lacks something on it's own. I've also seen good reviews on FA Vanilla Tahity as mentioned above and also on Inawera Shisha Vanilla. In fact Shisha Vanilla is on my list to try.

I need to try Shisha Vanilla as well but it always seems out of stock everywhere I look. I'm a fan of the FA vanillas, for the most part. But no vanilla I've ever had is the be-all-end-all. I'm also in search of a great caramel, specifically for mixing with tobacco and coffee vapes.

Hangsen'c caramel isn't bad, but I haven't tried anything else to compare it with.
Danny would know, but he's been playing hard to get lately .... wish he would show up !!

Capalla vanilla custard seems to be very popular and I found it to be one of the better vanillas. As far as how it will go with tobacco I can't say because now that I'm past my RY4 days I don't use sweets such as vanilla or caramel much with tobacco anymore.

Caramel is not one of my preferred flavorings as a far as tobacco goes but my vote would be for the Hangsen or inawera caramels. I put sweet tobacco vapes behind me quite a while ago. These days my sweet vapes consist of non tobacco fruits and deserts.

My preferred tobacco vapes are the nutty ones. It kinda fits my personality:)

As far as not being around lately been kinda busy with the home fix-up summer olympics. Between my own home repairs, My sons new home and my daughters new apartment I've been quite busy as of late.

Got this in my cart as it came highly recommended. I have a ton of vanilla flavors and mixed upwards of 5 different ones in one concoction but I don't have this one yet :)......

As I remember, that was a very good tasting vanilla but cooked and changed flavor as I was vaping it, plus gunked coils fairly fast. But you know what, I think I was using did clones and those pita top coil clearos back then. I probably need to try another bottle to see how it does in my present day equipment with it's better air flow and somewhat cooler operation.

Plus, I'm really liking this 26 ga, 316l stainless steel wire. 3mm tight spaced coil coming in at .9 ohms, performing like a champ in a Le Zephyr clone and a mech. It gets pretty warm but I'm thinking I'll give the Madagascar Vanilla another try.

+1 on Hangsen Caramel, but I tend to like most of the caramels I've tried including FA, Inawera, and TFA.

Yea I'm using 26g 2.5 SS coil with 3mm ReadyxWick in my Nuppin on my bottom feeders - Love the hassle free dryburn of this setup so coil gunking doesn't bother me.

I do have one Nuppin set up with 26g twisted SS around .5ohm - I think about 9/10 wraps 2.5 coil and it's divine with my Arabic...very warm vape but lovely.

Time for my thoughts on Gold for Pipe

First thing's first. You've got to abandon the idea of this being a classic "gold" tobacco. It's not that gentle, 555 style of vape at all. It's much more "for Pipe" than it is "Gold." By that, I mean that the flavor has some consistency with what I've tasted in the rest of the line (Dark/Black/Captain Jack).

The first thing I noticed was that this stuff (mixed at 3.33, as I have all of the others) has a funk to it ("funk" is not necessarily a bad thing to me). I don't know how to describe it. Earthy, I guess, but not in the way Dark or Captain Jack is earthy. Almost a mustiness, though that's not quite the right adjective either. On my first few pulls, I did not care for it. But I really sat down with it last night, dripping it for a long session while I watched some TV. The flavor did grow on me. It's got the complexity you'd expect from the For Pipe line, but the notes are quite different from the others. I'm not sure just what notes I'm getting, but I do know what I'm not getting. Nothing woody, nothing fruity. If there's nuttiness, it's in the background.

Will be interesting to see what a few weeks does with this one. I'm glad I got it, and I will keep in the rotation. It's distinctly different from anything else I have, and I like that. Not sure it's in the league of Dark and Black, but we'll see how it develops.

I bought Dark for Pipe because of the rave reviews, and although it is fine, nothing too special. Had to bring it down to 2% before the funkiness would subside. It is typical of Virginia type flavors - taste of grass or hay. To me, S-camel is a much better flavor. YMMV.

Vanilla custard goes really well with tobacco, including NETs.
