I ordered some Inawera tobacco Absolute Cuban Cigar today. Is it good as a standalone or should I add to it?
For me it's great standalone but I usually mix it with other tobaccos. I like it because it's mostly just a straight ahead broadleaf tobacco flavor, and I can use it in any of my mixes to help keep the tobacco front and center. In fact it's in the Ry4 type mix I'm vaping now.

Ina TA Cuban Cigar 2%
Ina Tobacco 2%
TFA Vanillin 1%
TFA Vanilla Swirl 1%
TFA Vanilla Bean 1%
Hangsen Caramel 1%
TFA Caramel Candy 1%
FA Oak Wood 2 drops 10ml
TFA Sweetener 2 drops 10ml

Le Zephyr clone with mesh wick - yum! :vapor:

So it mixes well with vanillas. Excellent.

Do you go with the standard 15 drops per 10mL suggestion as a standalone?

It's superb and well moderated by FA Virginia and their Cuban Supreme. A really great vape right there approaching my take on the legit. To add to the recent comments on Oakwood, I'd add Red oak and Hickory as working well together or stand alone to impart aging for the preceding. Oakwood being more subtle than the TFA and the latter having more of a bite, slightly acid (my preference). This is a profile I've been working on for some months and really given substance by the TA CC using a mere .2-.4% for a very satisfying and rich result with flavor percentages in the range of 8-12%. For me it starts to dominate over the tobacco flavorings above this which may be fine for those that enjoy this TA straight up. And it's that good but I really enjoy varying blends to seek out their individual distinctiveness. Highly recommend the FA CS for this.

Enjoy! And good luck. :)

Yeal, I've seen a couple of posts where TFA Red Oak was preferred over FA Oak Wood. I've been meaning to try it for a while now. Is Hickory the TFA Hickory Smoke?

Yep, and use them in combo as I do RY4's to steep TA's. Avoid EM and alc. These tobacco accent ingredients like oak and AP I like to combine in a TA/RY4 dilution. Usually 10% so I can easily pull a 1ml 1% fraction (or less). Don't think it's my imagination that this has yielded some very tasty full bodied vapes. At the very least it seems to accelerate solution. Really can't tolerate much steep time, heating or agitation at mix time. I like it stirred, not shaken. So I try as best I can to limit that. Wherever possible I'll batch TA's and flavor blends so I just need to add nic/base and go. Or as close to that as possible. Started using this approach 1st year I quit and my bud BMV's success with his juice line clinched it for me. Seems to work as I seldom have to wait more than a few days. But I don't rely on strictly TFA flavorings. Far from. So mebe too I've been lucky with flavoring selection. Although ripe banana gotta tell ya was a bear.

Related, anyone with experience using cedar or sourcing? That would be interesting. A trace in cigar would be wonderful.

:) Good luck.

p.s. TFA on the Hickory. I don't often discuss percentages as I'm flavor sensitive. Use far lower flavoring values for myself than most. However, looking at other's recipe's I use stronger or more tobacco flavoring overall as a ratio. And I enjoy a dense vape regardless. I'm usually starting recipes at the bottom of the common user scale. Not a bad practice in any case. But I really like tobacco.

So until now i had never had a super steeped dark for pipe. But i hadnt loaded up my last mix in a while. Its a bit too ashy for me now. Does anyone else like it better fresh? Honestly i dont know if ashy is the right word but its totally different thanwithin the first week...

Its good dont get me wrong. Incredibly, staggeringly realistic tobacco. Just too much formy liking honestly. I think adding the rum and tiramisu will help even it out for me though. Or maybe its just better fresh to me..

Its never made it much more than a week before, but i mixed a lot last time then got to fooling around with coffee vapes.

I find this true with all my mixes. I don't like them steeped so I make smaller batches now.

What % did you mix at? I had a similar problem after a long steep. Had to reduce it to 2%. Much better now.

Amazing that you can distinguish the difference. Oxidation from shaking perhaps? Or else super sensitive buds - mixology down to a science.

And everybody just thought I was a finicky eater comin' up. It's amazing what one can believe when everyone around you repeats it. I wish I'd understood this ability at a much younger age rather than considering it a nuisance. Fact is I avoided eating a great many things like most green vegetables as I was so sensitive to the flavor of rusting that it tasted obnoxious to me, being one example. Another dairy or cheese starting to sour days before most thought it a bother. Ultimately by age 30 I challenged most of these aversions and went vegetarian for almost a decade. I guess that kind of prepared me for this. So I walked into vaping eyes, olfactory and taste buds open. It's been incredible and it's only gotten far and away better. Thanks to all of you who paved the way.

Happy Father's Day. :)

Reminds me to stop using milk after a week or so - even though the expiration date has ways to go. I have always wondered why they set it so long. Don't they want to sell more milk?
