HS Arabic at 4 to 5 percent for me.
So I'm re-visiting my oaked dark for pipe after about 2 months, and wow! Flavor's amazing, not harsh at all, and the oak is more prominent. I only have 60ml left tho, I may need to make more :D.

Sounds like you're on to something. I have plans to try the same thing one of these days. I need to find a round tuit first though. :vapor:

I'm using the Flavor Art Virginia tobacco, right now I have 30 ml at 2% and 10 ml at 3.5 %. I smoked the 3.5 % for two days and just switched back to the 2% this morning. About all I can say is the 3.5 % is a little stronger but since I'm curious I'll probably add a little more flavoring and see what it's like. Now I'm curious about the Arabic flavor, could someone please try to describe it.

Arabic is a sweet, spicy tobacco vape, IMO. I have some right now that's close to 2 months into steeping. I'm hoping the tobacco flavor will rule over time.

I get strong hay or grass from it as well. The longer it ages the better it gets, I have some perhaps going on two years that's so mellow and smooth.

If you're trying Hangsen for the first time, you'll find it'll blow anything away from Flavourart (tobacco wise). Use a fresh/clean atty while switching as the Flavourart flavors tend to linger more than any. If I may suggest, try the HS Red USA mix if you like the Virginia type.

It's one of the few non-NET's that I still vape. It makes a great RY4 base.

During the short time that my sister vaped (she'll never quit smoking :(), it was the only one (of many I made for her) that she liked. Straight, @5%, no other flavoring.

Right now I'm vaping a tank of 4% Hangsen Turkish Blend with a 1/3 mix of 4% FA Virginia thrown in to tone down the sweetness and add some bite to the tobacco side. It's a really good combo even if it is mixed in at the tank level. Those are from a 3 month old batch.

They were mixed before I realized that Hangsen generally needs much higher mix concentrations and Flavourart needs lower mix levels. Still, it's salvageable if you can mix the weaker one with a stronger one that puts some body in the mix.

Speaking of RY4s, and mixing Flavourarts with Hangsen....
My main vape right now is HS Magic Mix 4% with drops of FA Blueberry.
And my RY4 also contains a FA with USA RED....but that's a work in progress.
My latest iteration (there have been several) of RY4 was 4% Red, 2% FA caramel and 1% TFA Vanilla Swirl.

I've also made a RY4 using one of my NET's and Lotus Vanilla and Caramel. If you haven't tried the Lotus brand, I highly recommend it. VERY potent stuff.

Here's the manufactures site with good info and larger bottles. Genuine Flavors

Smaller sizes can be got here. Lotus Flavors - Browse by Brand - Flavor Concentrates - <p class="shopbydepartment"><span style="font-size: 14px;">Shop by</span><span style="font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold;">Department</span></p> And they're on sale too. :)

On the Virginia tobacco I went from the 3.5 % to 5 % and then to 6.5 % which moved the flavor upward. No bad effects to the flavor. I was surprised how much tobacco flavor there was when I tried it this morning. I'll have to go back and try this with the Hangsen No 5 which is another one of my favorites.
I have an order with the Cavendish tobacco coming in soon. Since seeing and hearing works on a log scale I'm thinking that taste will also work on a log scale. As you go up on the scale it takes quite a bit more flavor to taste a difference.

The Cavendish just came in and I just mixed up 10 ml at 6%, very nice tobacco flavor that I find hard to describe, maybe a hint of sweetness. I'm not getting any sensation at the back of my throat as I did with the Virginia. Great right out of the bottle can't think of anything that I'd want to add to it.

My last batch of Hangsen was created back on December 5th and is 4 weeks plus in steeping. It's flavoring up nicely, but I'm surprised at the lack of linearity in the increased amounts of flavor I've done.

My 12% HS RY4 is nice, but not as flavorful as I thought I'd get by doubling up the flavor concentrate. The same is true of HS Tobacco Blended at 12%. It's nice, but not nearly as robust as expected.

It would be nice if flavors exhibited some predictable level of linearity. I"m still looking for the sweet spots in particular Hangsen flavors. No sense doing 12% if it doesn't produce twice the flavor as 6%.

I've got some SC Old Captain mixed at 2.5, not sure when to sample it. I mixed it 2 days ago and it smells divine.
I like it fresh. At around the two week mark, the smokey note tones down a bit. However, with that said, never had a bottle make it over 3 weeks once mixed as I really like that smokey note. Should note that I mix 60 mils at a time. It became my go to tobacco.

I mean it smells so good, that with you liking it fresh, I believe I'll give it a taste later today. Honestly, it smells far better than any other tobacco flavoring I've had. I've been more into bakeries lately but someone mentioned Old Captain was Virus-esque so it caught my interest. It smells better than the Virus!!

Never had Virus but if it is anything like Old Captain, I can see why so many like it.

I didn't notice a big change with steeping. I'd say shake the livin piss out of it and then sample away.

I do that one at 4 percent, but then I think I'm about a percent or two higher than you almost across the board, so that might be about right.

Oh, and I was the one who compared it to the Virus. Actually, it wasn't so much a comparison as a statement that I think OC is the primary base for the Virus. It's not the same, but you can taste that base in there.

12 seems high to me. You might be getting into "more is less" territory.

Right on man. I'll test it later this afternoon and post my thoughts. It's got 2 days under its belt and an overnight breathe session on the first night (not sure if that was necessary at all). I'm even going to build a fresh coil for this one!
