Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I just submitted this:

As a former smoker of nearly ten years, I have tried various methods of smoking cessation therapies over the years in an attempt to quit—none of them have worked. At one point I became alarmed when I had developed a chronic cough that was not going away for six months. That was when I heard about electronic cigarettes. I decided to give them a try and within two days had switched to electronic cigarettes exclusively. Having access to a large variety of flavors including tobacco, menthol, and fruit, along with nicotine strengths comparable to those of cigarettes made the transition very easy.

After only two weeks of e-cigarette use, I noticed my cough was gone and breathing had improved significantly. It has now been nearly three years since I made the switch to e-cigarettes and I believe this was one of the best decisions of my life. I no longer suffer from the heavy breathing and shortness of breath I had once been accustomed to.

During the last three years I have managed to help numerous smokers quit with the help of e-cigarettes. A majority of them have tried and failed at quitting using the more traditional FDA-approved methods. In our experience, this was without a doubt the most—and only—effective method and everyone who switched says they felt much better as a result of it.

In conclusion, I believe it would be a great disservice to the American people to deprive them of the best smoking cessation product on the market today. For many smokers, it may be the only solution to their existing problem.

Edit: Just noticed my join date and realized I have been vaping for nearly four years, not three as I indicated in the submission. Whoops!

Thanks for the heads up. Submitted my 1,990 character long opinion today. I believe vaping is great in many ways and I hate the thought of the corrupt politicians regulating and taxing a good thing to death. Of course the more popular it becomes the more certain it becomes that we the people will get the shaft once again. All we can do is make our opinions and the facts known and hope they don't move too swiftly. Hopefully all vapers will write in on this matter.

Just submitted my comment. I hope this helps, because e-cigs have helped me and I'm new to vaping. I'll be ...... if they ban my new hobby or over regulate it so that I lose interest or it becomes too hard to get what I need. This will only lead me back to smoking cigarettes and I AM NOT TRYING TO DO THAT! Thanks to everyone else who submitted a comment or mailed a letter to the FDA.
