I keep hearing more and more about the FDA banning e cigs, I don't understand why. So I went to FDA.gov and they are saying a bunch of hullabaloo like, you can't accurately control the amount of nicotine... Uh isn't that why there is different strengths of nic? Can and Will they ban these life changing, and life saving devices? Are they operating with funding from BIG tobacco in any way? I have not had a cigarette in 3 weeks now, no withdrawals, and no fuss. How are these not a good thing? Because they contain Nicotine? some rhetorical questions but what I really want to know is how realistic is it that they will ban our PV's?

It's so up in the air. I think they will attempt to ban them at all costs, but will be unable to prove that they do any harm to anyone. If they are ever able to ban them then I say we organize a vape-in demanding that they ban tobacco cigarettes too.

well... eventually it will be controlled and overseen by some organization... that is nearly inevitable.

In the mean time, we need to do as much education as we can.

If it becomes illegal... I for one... will go underground... I am not going back to cigarettes

Yes, me too. Almost every component can be made is someone's garage workshop -- atomizers being the hardest from what I hear -- even I could make most of it.

The FDA is getting payed by big drug and big tobacco to keep these lie flowing. I will not go back to cigs. I know e-cigs are not harmless they are however less harm. I am going to smoke, we have a real alternative and the evidence stands against the FDA. That is why they are working so hard to spread lie and keep the truth under wraps.

I agree with you Rosa, if ecigs are banned, tobacco cigs should be too. Along with every other nrt already out there.

The people at the FDA get very lucrative jobs at the Pharmaceutical companies after they leave government service, politicians get very large campaign contributions from the Pharmaceutical companies. The worst part is that will get "creative" tests done or at the very least have "creative" results, the outcome that e-cigs can't be allowed is a forgone conclusion to them. I can guarantee these people are not going to look at any test results and say "Hey, these things aren't that bad, Let's stop trying to ban them"

Atomizers can be made, I could make one(It wouldn't be pretty or probably work as well as the commercial ones without some effort :)) I think the nicotine seems like it might get tough to get (cost effectively), seems like that is the easiest to ban, too.

Should I go get my lab coat and welding goggles?
