The FDA generally has NO problem approving deadly, dangerous, and toxic products, ESPECIALLY if their sales will make their puppet masters more rich, and ESPECIALLY if they are products that are targeted toward minorities, the poor, or the middle class.

This is primarily why we need to worry so much about ecigs--they aren't NEARLY toxic enough to be an effective eugenics tool...

What is more important to the FDA?
  • Prevent tobacco-related deaths of millions across the globe.
  • Continue making money from overtaxed tobacco products.

Guys, it's obviously better for all humanity that money continues to be made.

I also read somewhere from the FDA something that went like: "E-cigarettes are unresearched an unknown. At least with traditional cigarettes, you know the 4,000 chemicals you put in your body. Would you rather put unknown substances into your body?"

There's a BT who's sure all that glitters is gold
And they're buying a stairway to heaven.
When they get there they know, if the stores are all closed
With a word they can get what they came for.
Ooh, ooh, and they're buying a stairway to heaven.

There's ANTZ's writing on the wall but the FDA wants to be sure
'Cause you know sometimes words have two meanings.
In a tree by the brook, there's a songbird who sings,
Sometimes all of our thoughts are misgiven.

Ooh, it makes me wonder,
Ooh, it makes me wonder.

There's a feeling I get when I look to the west,
And my spirit is crying for leaving.
In my thoughts I have seen clouds of vapour through the trees,
And the voices of those who stand looking.

Ooh, it makes me wonder,
Ooh, it really makes me wonder.

And it's whispered that soon, if we all call the tune,
Then the piper will lead us to reason.
And a new day will dawn for those who stand long,
And the forests will echo with laughter.
(Does anyone remember laughter?)

This is just MO, I really don't think FDA is going to ban any of the products that we are using or are going to use in the future with Vaping. ( yes I am worried ) If they are smart " I Hope " then they will see they will lose possible Billions of $. I believe that is why they're doing what they're doing now with all the ......ED
Regulations atm. In Germany where I am living, they just banned in schools, restaurants to be specific. However there are millions of us here too and we are fighting the EU Parliament, which is working btw
In the USA alone last year Ecigs ( not counting tanks, RDA's, RBA's juice etc ) brought in a total of 3.5 billion dollars!!!!!!
That is money FDA wants, that is money big tabaccy wants all FDA has to do is get a few sigs and they can get a percentage ( which they're working on )
I can only hope for the best and I wish all of us luck!!!

No the FDA won't ban anything. What they WILL do (according to their deeming regulations) is require that EVERY e-cigarette product or component go through a registration process, which involves extensive documentation and paperwork. By the FDA's own estimate, each application will cost about $334,000. They expect between 20 and 80 such applications.

Your favorite e-liquid, in 4 nic strengths and 4 PG/VG ratios is 16 different products, and each one has to be registered and approved separately.

Technically they won't ban anything. They'll just make it impossible for the products to be on the market.

For every single thing manufactured after 2007 will need an application. The word ban is a harsh word but that was really all I could use since that is what is happening in Germany and the rest of EU. Potential Ban on everything being manufactured bought sold etc. We the Vapers are fighting it out though :D!!!
However since I did use the word ban for what the FDA will do is that make it nearly impossible to obtain say your favorite juice, or favorite device or tank etc. So expect to see say a itaste 134 for bout 250$-300$ on ebay lol... So instead the nicer word everything wil be discontinued, I prefer the more honest it is being banned.

As ryedan pointed out on a previous thread, the FDA approved the SE applications for Lorillard cigarettes a year ago.

This is not a new product (as the title of this thread inaccurately claims), and this issue was thoroughly discussed on ECF a year ago. Besides, SE applications are completely different than New Tobacco Product applications that all e-cig companies would have to submit (and get approved) to keep their e-cig products on the market if FDA approves the deeming regs.

Since this thread is just confusing most commenters and is just rehashing year old news, I ask that nobody else post any comments on this thread.

Care to elaborate?

Bark of the pacific YEW tree found to cure ovarian cancer. Known tested and FDA wont approve it. The understanding is that it would damage or hurt they species found in the amazon. I would think if our government can clone things, setting up an environment to grow this tree would be a snap. Hydroponics ??
