I think the FDA may re-think their stance, all the negative publicity is the last thing the Obama administration will want.

Im not attacking you Apatel, but this is my $.02 on your comment:

The man has been called a Socialist, his policies have been called Socialist, his administration has been called Solcialist, he has gone backwards on his campaign promises, his promises of help have been all but forgotten, do you honestly think he or his administration give a rats a** about the FDA's stance on e-cigs?????
My best,

A 3% tax increase on the wealthiest is not socialism.

To those who keep calling Obama a socialist I say that the word does not mean what you think it means.

Social Security is not socialism, A few nationalized business's does not equal socialism. Socialism is an economic system in which all the means of production are owned and controled by the state. It is not a peicemeal thing. It's not that a few businesses or services might be owned by the state. It is not high taxes because in a socialist system there would be NO INCOME TO TAX.

But you are right on one thing. I seriously doubt that Obama is concerned about E-cigs since thanks to the last 30 years of supply side bull**** he's got much bigger problems to be concerned with like 2 screwed up wars and a botched economy.

E-Cigs are not an ideological question the looming ban has nothing to do with ideology or freedom or nanny government.

It's about large existing economic interests protecting their territory. It may be drapped in health concerns and other nonsense but it's simply a power play by Phillip Morris to protect it's market share nothing deeper or more sinister than that.

Not having the sky start falling yesterday certainly has a nice beat and I can dance to it, but it damn sure hasn't freed up any of my shipments being held for "inspection"...

If in fact the date was to be yesterday, I am sure the FDA would not make any such move IMO with a court date of May 15th for a hearing on the TRO with SE. For the FDA to make a unilateral move like that would be a slap in the face to the Judge that the FDA would not do---unless of course they do not care about the Judge's ruling which I am sure they do. So I do not think we will see much movement till after the Judge makes his findings of facts and rulings of law on SE's Motion for a TRO --------

RE: njoy Electronic Cigarettes

Dear Valued njoy Customer,

First, we certainly appreciate your patronage and enthusiasm over the njoy family of products. We have all been quite pleased with your overwhelming response to this product and recognize you as a very valued customer.

Unfortunately, we must apologize for our current inventory shortages which have resulted in extended delays in your continued purchases of NJOY products. We have recently experienced an interruption in our supply of NJOY Electronic Cigarettes, cartridges and related accessories as a result of the FDA claiming jurisdiction over the product. FDA has detained most shipments of electronic cigarettes and related accessories entering the U.S. for the past several weeks. Their assertion is that nicotine is a drug and the electronic cigarette is a device whose intended use is to deliver that drug. We do not agree with the position or actions of the FDA.

To defend our position of continuing to bring customer like you the first true innovation in a centuries old space, NJOY has enlisted a team of attorneys, scientists, lobbyists, and other experts whose belief is that the FDA has over stepped the bounds of their authority in this detainment action.
We encourage your help to ensure the survival of the e-cigarette as an alternative to traditional tobacco cigarettes that continue to kill 400,000 Americans each and every year. Below is a list of some things you can do to help the cause.
1) Write your Senators and other elected officials. Tell them about your experience with the electronic cigarette. Send it certified mail.
Sample text: "I am a loyal customer of the smoking alternative NJOY, and I have been informed that the FDA has taken the step to bar importation of more products at this time. I want you, as my elected representative/senator in Congress to help me continue to enjoy this product by asking the FDA to remove their detainment order from Customs."
Find out who is your Senator
Find out who is your Congressman
Write President Obama
2) Contact your local newspaper or other media, Tobacco Free Kids, American Lung Association, American Cancer Society and other public health organizations to inform them about your experience with the electronic cigarette.
At this moment, we do not know when shipments are expected to resume. We have supplies of certain replacement cartridges currently available for immediate delivery but those supplies are being rapidly depleted. Once this situation is resolved to our satisfaction, we will enthusiastically support your continued use and support of all the NJOY products and accessories.

We will continue to keep you informed as things develop.

Sincerely,

Mackinaw, LLC
Proud U.S. Distributor for NJOY

Boy O' Boy what a bad "First" post to give...:(

I really don't see any of this ending up well. Even though there is no logical reason for it to end badly. I see one of two things happening.

1. They just outlaw it all end of story.
or
2. They will certainly ban the e-juice. Then maybe allow pre-filled cartridges that only have 1/100th of the nicotine in real cigarettes rendering them worthless. And to top it off tax them off the market like $20 a pop.

I think this because big tobacco has a lot of money to though around in DC.

Also, this whole "E-Cigarette" thing killed them before it even started. Cigarettes have a vary bad conentation and associating ANY product with them is the kiss of death. Two, they are not even cigarettes never were, never will be. So, they will loose every battle comparing them to cigarette but they will still get all the bad press and law that comes with cigarettes.

I think that if they were marketed as a "Personal Vaporizer" form the beginning they would not have hit the market as hard and fast at first like they did. However, I bet they would have evaded the Law and brain washing Press far longer. Even when the Law and press septed up, as would still be enevatable, they would not have triggered all the conditioned responses accoceated to cigarettes like they do.

All in all, I am going to stockpile as much juice and supplies as I can afford.
