No problem, will work on getting a combined dump and anything else you guys throw out that you want to see. I only had about 10 minutes to look over the initial api so hope to get some time tomorrow to do a little more research on the API and start writing a webservice to consume and cache the data we want to analyze.

I sent your link to CASAA (Just Julie). She hadn't seen it and thanked me, so thanks to you.

So this API is wacky in the way it aggregates data. They apparently have some issues somewhere. For example if you go to FDA Charts and choose the All Nicotine Cessation products from the drop down and then open a new tab with Chantix selected you will see that for Nausea, the top interaction attribute on each drug, there is about a 2200 delta where the combined for all drugs is lower than for the single drug. I also find it odd that they have a drug indication of both Nicotine Cessation and Smoking Cessation with the Smoking cessation drug indication numbers radically lower.

Thanks, turner.curtis. Very interesting results. Here are a few highlights:
- Nicotrol Inhaler: 207 deaths; most reports for "Drug ineffective"
- Nicorette: 4th most common reports is for "Drug ineffective"
- Wellbutrin: 900+ suicidal ideation; 484 suicide attempts; 359 completed suicides; most reports for "Drug ineffective"
- Bupropion: 1297 completed suicides, also the most reported adverse effect! + 244 deaths
- Chantix: 587 completed suicides; 3245 suicidal ideation; 456 homicidal ideation
- Vaping: 0 deaths; + AFAIK no reports of homicidal ideation :p

I just took another look at the numbers and it looks like in the ~3 months since I wrote the above post, another 10 suicide deaths and several dozen instances of "suicidal ideation" caused by Chantix have been reported to FDA.

Yet FDA is considering removing the black box warning label off Chantix, because of some new bogus BP study which bolsters its safety and effectiveness:mad:

It's interesting to me that for the Nicotrol inhaler, which may be similar in effect to e-cigs, and for "all smoking cessation drugs" there's a significant number for "oedema peripheral"... so my own experience with that is far from rare. It's really the only negative effect I've experienced.
