We are not powerless. And I believe the FDA will find that out if they try to screw us over.

You all handed your power over to big lobbyists controlled by the big pharmacies a few months back without knowing what the results of your vote's power.

Just like O won with a strong ground game, we must do the same. Posting your anger in this forum is USELESS, contact your local state representative and let them know how vaping has helped you change your life.

Stop posting your anger and find the phone number of your congressman. Call them and let your voice be heard, the sooner the better.

These are the folks 'closest to us', that are suppose to be most aligned with our local goals.

Directory of Representatives · House.gov

In Iowa we should be teaching about farming, in Alaska we should be teaching about oil production, not what the folks in DC decide from their ivory towers we should teach!. How does DC know better what we should be doing at a local level or how we should satisfy our habits in the safest way possible? That can't and they don't!

Does anyone know if Victor Denoble (PM whistleblower and safe nic scientist) position has changed since this? I was surprised with his viewpoint.

Are smokeless cigarettes safe? Victor De Noble says no; Sacramento area shops won't sell to minors - Sacramento Cyber Safety | Examiner.com

I attended the SRNT conference last year, and they showed the Indie film that starred Denoble, Addiction Incorporated. I was surprised when in the film he said that the president of the tobacco company had asked him to see if there was some chemical they could substitute for nicotine because nicotine was causing so many heart attacks. After the film ended, I went up to Dr. Neal Benowitz, who had given a presentation at an FDA workshop in 2010 to ask about this. In his FDA presentation he stated that recent studies show no increase in heart attacks or strokes among smokeless tobacco users. Apparently back when Denoble was working for Big Tobacco, everyone thought it was the nicotine causing the cardiovascular disease. I'm not sure whether Denoble has ever learned that it's other elements in the smoke itself that case smoking-related diseases.

Thanks for that, it clears up allot for me. I'm not convinced that whistleblower is the right descriptor for DeNoble. It seems to me that he was asked to testify and cited the confidentiality clause he agreed to (along with, I'm thinking, a whole whack O cash). He finally testified after the FDA went to PM and "got" them to release the confidentiality.
