somewhere out there......
Tap water is far worse than you think - contains nearly every chemical known, from prescription and non-prescription drugs, to industrial and nuclear waste, agricultural chemicals, sewage, etc.
I believe this a couple of months ago I saw a sign on walmarts door saying dont drink the local water because of crap in the water...it took almost a week to get it fixed.

I am by no means defending anything Bush and his gang did, and yes he came into a complete clusterf**k, but promised a time table to bring troops home, but has only sent more over, many friends included. I never agreed with this war to begin with, but I don't even see a beginning to an end. Anyway this is way off topic, my thoughts: the devices will not be banned, the juice will be regulated. The gov will get their cut, and leave people alone. Arsenic is tested in the water with PPB, but fluoride, lead, PPM. And we are ingesting much less in the vapor than we, or our kids are ingesting in the water.

So, please, let's keep to facts. Presenting the facts in the proper light will win the day for us, I believe.

I would like to add something here: We all KNOW this is about MONEY and CONTROL... and I think what Illustrated is trying to say, and if I am wrong, please chime in...

It is time to focus on the fact finding mission, getting our sh*t together, and creating a response that is iron clad and logical. Illustrated has started a great thread http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...fda-press-release-7-22-repost.html#post437850 for the posting of real facts and discussion on how to head off certain "claims" made by the FDA. Please, no money talk, power talk or banter there.

But... I can completely understand why people are discussing the money aspect because it IS the truth and it IS frustrating. It is just time to refocus so we can fight with both fists. :)

You've hit it Lacey -

My point is that it's irrelevant their reasons for issuing this report. What IS relevant is that it is misleading and irresponsible. Now is the time to counter what they are saying with facts and start fighting for the product that we believe in. Sitting around talking about the money trail is going to do nothing but make us look like nuts.

Staying on topic...

I can't believe they actually think we will sit back and question our vaping now that they have released these "results". The FDA's trials are biased to begin with, what makes them think we won't want to have a comprehensive independent study done to show the REAL factors, beyond just two of the popular brands.

Should I be questioned by anyone about my e-cig, I am stating that until ALL factors are known about it, I will continue to vape as it is STILL safer then analogs.

the man came into the hell the last president left behind...he is working on trying to create jobs....make health care more affordable...and trying to end this war that is going on. Remember he didnt make this mess...

No, he didn't. WE did. Everyone loves to find someone to blame when **** hits the fan, but one guy didn't cause the problems we've had in recent years. Most of our problems were caused by our laziness, greed, and ignorance. We as a country need to change our ideals on what is acceptable behavior.

Perhaps public executions of corrupt officials is due for a comeback.
I kid, I kid. :)

Hopefully the gov will not expect to get the same tax revenues from PVs as they are getting from tobacco.

The really incredible story about PVs is that many people are switching from analogs to PVs because in the long run, PVs are incredibly less expensive. This depends on where you live, but in NYC you are expected to pay $12 per pack. With PVs you break even in almost no time if you smoke 1 or 2 packs a day.

The PVs are actually responsible for getting smokers that had no intention of stopping to quit analogs completely. No smoking cessation device I know of has ever achieved that. All the other smoking cessation devices require that a smoker is truly committed to quitting.

Don't forget though, in the announcement today, they also noted that putting on products "Adults Only" is a direct attempt to market towards children.
A proposed solution:

I will too. It would have been nice if the FDA would have shown the results of there study next to the results of those from analog cigarettes.

I've only been using my PV for about a week, and haven't touched a cigarette since, or wanted to, which was unexpected. It already works better than any other option.
I was the same way for my first two weeks but just wait a week and you will start to notice a a difference in the way you feel....
