Yea, me too. I just feel like it's never enough and that "just one more" feeling. I feel better after ordering, then once I get it I feel I should be getting something else.
I'm having the exact same problem. How much is enough? The gear I'm picking up, though new to many of you in 2014, is new to me now. That's how far behind the curve I am. Having no experience with any of the things I'm buying, how do I predict? I'd have trouble even with the things I am well acquainted with.

You need to realistically stay above 1.2Ω, they can fire down to 1.0 -1.1, but only at the lowest volt settings. They are limited to 3.5 amp for the V2.5.
The classic is limited to 4.5amp, but those are still over a hundred bucks at the the discount page. The ProVari is best suited to nautilus and Kafun type atties. I use them for dripping atties with 1.4-1.6Ω single coils.

Thanks. I have a few nautilus, but haven't learned how. To rebuild the stock coils yet. They've just been sitting in a drawer.

I wish you luck re-building those, I tried and gave up. I'll be saving my Nautilus coils for travel and times when re-buildables are inconvenient for me.

You know this kind of reminds me of 1999 and the y2k scare. No one really knew what was going to happen until after midnight 2000.
I don't think it's even remotely close. This current government wants to stifle your individual freedoms and trample your individual rights. The current squatter in the White House wipes his ... with our Constitution everyday but stupid voters keep voting all these radical Liberals into office. I don't know when this country is going to wake up and realize the least the government is involved in YOUR life the better off YOU are. Everything the government puts it's hands on turns into a massive mess. Wake up vapers.

You missed my point. Was speaking strictly on the anxiety of preparedness.

You missed my point.
Your point being no one knows what's going to happen until August or 2 years from now? My point is don't under estimate the crooks in Washington and how far they are willing to go to control you. My point is vapers need to wise up and start voting with their heads. Stop clinging to broken media driven political ideologies. That's my point.

The Fda is not the only problem. In August, vape products will officially be considered tobacco products, and alot of us live in states where buying tobacco products online is prohibited.Yeah,i'm sure there are local shops that will still be around for a while, but i won't pay their crazy prices now,and if they know people can't buy online, then those crazy prices will just get worse.

Exactly. Many people could potentially be caught off guard if they happen to live in states with existing law that requires face-2-face transactions (no internet purchases) of tobacco products. It'll be interesting to see how it plays out. For the immediate future, one also has to wonder how state governments might react to all the newly deemed and currently untaxed "tobacco products" floating around inside their legislative jurisdiction....

IDK, not in panic mode. Just talked with the guys at my vape store and they aren't too worried right now because they said they know that a bunch of lawsuits are soon to be filed over this and it will clog up the courts for a long time. Apparently independent vape business owners are starting to band together to file lawsuits. At least that's what he told me.

Seems the aware consumer/vapers and larger companies are doing a lot of the advocacy and fighting.
If every B&M got involved at a state, and federal level it could increase their chances of staying in business.
    Were all in this together.
Just my feelings when I ask the local B&Ms what they are doing. Then I get the "Deer in headlights look".

Vandal, first I suggest you get familiar with pretty much state of the art hardware. Theoretically, you have a couple of months to do this before internet sales disappear, but I sure wouldn't take that much time. Find your "sweet spot" — quick! Find something that works for you, not the newest, wowiest-zowiest hardware.

Next, here's what I suspect will disappear via the Deeming Regulations, assuming they aren't changed. And these are just my opinions; your mileage may vary.

    1. High-test nicotine concentrate. This is the ultimate choke-point. Buy as much as you can of 60 or 100 mg./ml., put it in glass bottles, and buy a chest-type freezer to store it at -10 to -15 degrees. Do this FIRST. I have enough high-test in my freezer to last until I'm about 95 years old.

    2. PVs: I'd ignore the combination eGo-types. Batteries, charged or not, die within a few years, and there's no way to bring them back to life. So, if you're using a PV with enclosed battery, the whole thing is dead. (Want some dead five-year-old eGos?) Look for a PV with a removable battery or batteries. Then you can use fresh batteries without having to chuck the whole PV.

There are regulated PVs (like Provaris) and unregulated ones (like Reos). I have both in my stash. The electronics in the regulated types may eventually die; unregulated just need hardware replacement every so often. To be safer with my regulated ones (ambient humidity is no good for electronics), they're in cryopack. You can get a cryopack bagger and enough bags to last a lifetime for about $55.

    3. Tanks, or whatever: Find one with potentially rebuildable coils. I've recoiled Vision Vivi Novas, and the Nautilus-type actually look a bit easier to recoil. But that's up to you. Some folks say purpose-designed rebuildables are easier to recoil. Buy several different types, then follow instructions on youtube to see which works best for you. Note that supplies to rebuild these will be around about forever: they're used for other things. I like Nautilus, so I have 40 of them in my stash, plus 60 pyrex bells (for breakage: I can be a klutz) and about 200 replacement coils. Kanthal wire and wicking (cotton, rayon or whatever) will be around forever: different uses.

    4. Search for flavorings you like, ones that are available as jelly-bean and baking flavors. Learn to DIY: there's an extensive bunch of threads and how-tos on ECF. Download a DIY calculator NOW. The FDA has probably banned these as well. But the flavorings will be around forever: again, many different uses.

    5. Batteries: 18650 and similar batteries will be around forever, as they have so many other uses. For instance, Tesla cars use a whole bunch of 18650's or similar. Get a good, plug-in-the-wall charger.

I'm a belt-and-suspenders kind of person. But, if I read the Deeming Regulations right, this is truly Vapemageddon. Better to be stocked up than sorry.

If it becomes as bad as some predict I'll just cross the border to Canada for my Vape needs or I assume our local Native American reservations will enter the vape business on a larger level. Canada has not regulated e-cigs very much.

Canada has so far not regulated ecigs much, but you never know with the Canadian government. It is not illegal to import nicotine into Canada, but Canada customs will tell you it is and will reject nic if they find it. My bet is if someone challenged them and was willing to take it to the supreme court they would win, but so far no-one has done it.

Vape shops are generally getting nic base and juice now, but that could change at any time because of the above. Cost for juice up here is typically significantly higher than in the US. Local and provincial governments are also getting into regulation and depending on how that goes it could become significant. My hope is with our liberal government in Ottawa right now the feds are probably not going to be too hard on vaping, but the new FDA regs could possibly influence Ottawa in their direction, only time will tell.

I'm stocked up on nic. Everything else I can always either make myself or buy. Hopefully :)
