why isn't it classified as a recreational hobby thingymajig whamjammit doodleplopper? (excuse the technical terms, I'm a lawyer) - they get away with selling lots of things that are 'recreational' for adults.

I don't see how they could call it medication, this may have already been answered but are their current nrt/nct bullplop solutions classed as medicinal? Nicotine is not medication! Well, it kinda is and isnt, ok i've confused myself. Why did I post to begin with?

I just don't get it. Nicotine comes mainly/originally/whatever from the tobacco plant..... we've been getting it from tobacco for years, why would one product suddenly be classed as medicinal or whatever just so they can win a poxy battle? They won't win the war anyway so it will be a shallow victory.

ps im not really a lawyer, I'm dyslexic and passed the bra exam by mistake. but "thingymajig" "whamjammit" & "doodleplopper" are all genuine legal terms - trust me I'm a doctor. Oh no I'm not really a doctor...................plop....

Wasn't ...... and other medications sold in the liquid at the time the FDA went to court?

There was one Chinese-based Web site selling liquid that claimed to contain ...... and other medications. The FDA tested some of these and discovered (probably to their great surpirse) that the liquid actually DID contain these medications. This company was one of the vendors that received warning letters from the FDA a few months ago.

The company was screwed either way. If the FDA did not find the medications, they could say that the company was fradulently misrepresenting its product contents. Since they did find the medications, the FDA can (and did) say that the products are "adulterated."

The FDA would make more money if it was a drug delivery device. FY 2010 for them required drug companies with clinical data (cough, safe and effective?) to pay $1,405,500.

The FDA needs to be redesigned to serve the public, instead of being such a powerful enemy to our health =(

The FDA are no better than home grown pirates or terrorists holding smokers hostage by refusing to tell people that smokeless tobacco products and e-cigs are magnitudes safer to use than smoking is. They only want their blood money, they don't care about people's health at all.

FDA = Fe||ati0 Driven A$5whipes

noooooo I didn't mean it in a gross way! I meant that the FDA is a bunch of a5$ whipes who only care about who gives them the best corporate BJ, IE they're driven by fe||atio. the FDA only cares about 2 things:

1. who pays them off the most (which I refer to as a corporate BJ) "yes Mr. Renoylds.... just suck a little harder and we'll make sure those nasty E-cig companies can never put you out of business!"

2. what is politically safe? "will we get negative feedback from the american lung association who are tied to the people who make patches and chantix and all that if we even acknowledge this might be a better alternative than smoking? you bet! defending this product is political suicide"
