The chinese own the patents... I'm sure that all this FDA BS will just magically go away once Big tobacco/Pharma negotiate the patent rights or develop their own atomizer design, and the politicians figure out how to get their cut out of it. Funny how that works, ain't it?

I'm kinda glad in a way that China owns the patents. Who knows what the FDA and government would then hide in the e-juice, as they do a lot of everyday products people injest (claiming it to be fine). I order direct from China as well as here in the US. It makes me nervous to think the US would start making their own manufactured e-cig juices. Not saying all companies are bad, but I would hate to live by the US FDA's standard of safe, afterall they are the one's who push things such as Genetically Modified Foods, High Fructose Corn Syrup, pill after pill after pill, and want to ban e-cigs but not the cigarettes that are so harmful to us and others.. I could only imagine what they would do to "add" to the ingredients as well as the hefty tax the government would tack onto all products.

So in all... I'm happy paying "extra" for a local company to do all of the hard work getting the product from China. As well as ordering Direct. As long as they are safer than regular smoking.

I also won't order E-juice from a company that can't list the entire contents in their e-liq along with a test result of %'s

OK, lets say tomorrow, all e-cig related products were cut off from import. What parts are exclusively to Chinese imports? I use an Icon v1.1 mod, so for me batteries is not an issue. Liquid nicotine? vg, pg, peg? Aren't there US manufacturers for these items? I'm pretty sure, but let me know. I imagine atomizers, cartomizers, and the original e-cig batts, (510s, 901s, 801, etc...) are exclusive?

So, what should one stock-up on in case of some kind of slow down in delivery or embargo. Carts and atomizers, would be pretty straight forward, relatively inexpensive, durable shelf-life. Juices would be a bit trickier, eventually they will break-down, go stale or spoil, so a harder to hoard. Batts could be problematic to hold in large quantities, since it is the highest price point factor of the e-cig setup.

Try not to bump much older posts, I'm guessing you just didnt notice.

AND to answer the Q...Nope we are pretty much good now we can make everything we need in the US.
Might take a little creativity but we would be ok.

With the new FDA laws that were recently past, there are going to be a lot more regulations on imports of FDA regulated products. China is trying to source raw goods from the states now.

If you are in the states find a local source. The FDA is really cracking down on PG after the incident in Panama a few years ago where diethylene glycol was used in medicine rather then PG.

As I understand it although I might be wrong the FDA can still seize shjpments as long as they have an ongoing appeal. As for me my money is too valuable to take a risk like that. There are a lot of good vendors here in the good ole USA that will sell me what I need with fast service at a good price and that I know will get to me. As somebody else stated when customs seize products especially from good vendors it puts them in jepordy of losing a good business.
