Why don't the FDA hurry up and run their tests before even suggesting laws and bans! Look at how long cigarettes and alcohol were allowed to stay mainstream before the government, all of a sudden, got rediculous about it! You can still go to TGI Fridays and get snockered, but cannot have a smoke while doing that! We need to tell our doctors we vape, and monitor us. That is the real testing we will be seeing on e cigs, I suppose. If you go by the hospitals, you see nurses on street corners, off hospital grounds puffing on coffin nails. We need to get the nurses to start vaping for a little backup here. Sounds like a plan, just saying...

Tell me about it. Down here in Panama the Health Ministry banned the sale of ecigs because of the first test the FDA conducted in 2009 or so. No tests where carried down locally, everything was based on the FDA. And it seems it´s staying that way until new results come out.

Actually it is paid to oversee testing. By oversee, it means you pay them to tell you, very specifically, how to test something, how to compile the results and revise testing if they change their mind midstream, all while they follow the process. Most of their income is from large pharmaceutical companies, which oddly, could be the big losers if folks started using e-cigs instead of their products.

Others may be under the impression that the FDA is out to protect people instead of an income stream.

So true! But maybe we should have our doctors beat them to the punch. My dentist was tickled when I told him I vape.
