Waste is always a tough nut to crack - while no one wants to spend more than needed to accomplish the given task, often the trade offs made in the name of economy, have hidden costs that far exceed any perceived savings.

It isn't a far cry to see that even a very few roll you own have a cost to your health and your desire to be a better roll model to your smoking offspring.
I'm not certain where you are in the USA but with the growing community of vapers, you can scarcely toss a lighter in any direction and not hit a vaper ( go ahead try it, you won't need the lighter - no waste). Find some of the local brick and mortar vapor shops and be scoial... There is some poor soul near there saying to themselves I wish I didn't have these ce4 & ce5 and had cartos , but I guess I'm stuck with them..... I shouldn't waste them.

I agree with the posts from above.. Get some other flavors tanked. If you don't like something you are vaping set it on a shelf and try something else. Some juices improve after sitting for a bit ( called steeping)

Not having a brick and mortar nearby is no good.. and sucks. So I would highly recommend either looking for a sampler or shop at places like MtBakerVapor.com because they have good reviews and fantastic prices. Also, if you order several bottles they often through in a free sample.

Mt. Baker is a GREAT deal!
I think not having a b&m near you might actually be a GOOD thing. You'll be stuck paying far less money for juice and accessories if you have to shop online! They've opened a few here in the Atlanta area and the prices are much higher. Leaving a store isn't as rewarding as opening the mailbox and seeing a package. I say all this after just getting home from another $120 excursion. I just stopped in for some kanthal! LOL

I normally bounce back and forth between 2-3 flavors throughout the day. I mainly use Protank II's, so at $20 each (locally), it's hard to justify buying 5-10 of them, but I've found they work best with my 60/40 DIY blends (solid vape - excellent vapor @ only 8w on a 1.8 coil). I spent a little more upfront to go the DIY route, but at the end of the day, I won't be spending that much on flavors I know I can blend on my own.

I still have some favorites from other dealers that I can't quite replicate just yet, so they've earned my business :). That and I don't need a huge cabinet full of concentrated flavors. I stick with what I know I like and read reviews on the brands before I buy. If I see a ton of 2-3 star reviews, I move on. I question any liquid with zero negative reviews, just because it's impossible to please everyone due to the subjective nature of taste.

That said, my primary line-up consists of carto's, a carto tank, 3 Protank II's and a few MT3S BCC & TS3's. Most all of them carry my own blends and then 1-2 with flavors I buy from dealers because I truly enjoy them.

I smoked about a pack a day on average when I did, but Day 01 on e-juice, it was cold-turkey. Not had another one since.

Okay, so.....I TRIED to respond to you all much much earlier, but I must've hit a wrong button, because it is not here!

I am so happy to read all of your responses! I plan on and have implented several of these ideas already. I want to respond to all of you individually... but for now, let me just throw a couple of things out there.

@commaholly- I would sooo love to diy my juice! I have a ton of flavor ideas up here in my noggin, but the thought of handling 100mg nic juice scares the batcrap outta me. Maybe I will start with 36mg and work my way up. That might be good.

@everyone else- I have figured out to tank several flavors (I even have a carto on my 808!) Sadly, most of my flavors are too similar! So I am trying again today. I did discover that while my carto's are my least favorite, after a week with clearos, they are really not so bad for a change-up.

Thank you!

Oh. And one more thing!?!! I think I really am finally quit with cigarettes! w00t w00t! The taste of burning tobacco is just not appealing anymore.

That's great!

I sympathize with not wanting to waste anything. I throw unwanted stuff in a box and forget about it. The idea is that it will be there if I change my mind. Every now and then I go through this stash and just toss stuff out. I find I get less attached to the idea that someday I might need it as time goes by. I keep some of it. I still have packs of unused go-go cartomizers, even though I haven't touched a go-go battery in over a year. Perhaps someday I'll pass them on to someone who is wanting to try ecigs out.

I had to LOL at this. I too have Go-Go cartos in my end of times stash box. I also have several of the Go-Go tube mods to use them on if the need arises. Just have to pick up some 18650 batteries to go in them. I don't think getting batteries will ever be a problem to get. I would just have to get used to vaping juice that has been run through filler material if it ever came to having to use the cartos. :D

Only been vaping for about a month, but I, too, have several clearos filled with various juice flavors. During the day, I switch flavors 2-3 times. When I get really bored with one juice, I'll dump it into another flavor which is complimentary, like coffee into toffee or vanilla. Like MoonLit wrote, variety is the spice of life. And...whatever works to keep away from the analogs!

So here's the thing....
I have been vaping for a little over a month. I am down from a pack and a half of ryo cigs to around five a day. Not terrible. But I am having a problem that maybe I could use a little help on???

I am vaping juices that are weaker/not terribly yummy because I paid money for them. I am restricting myself to one clearo per day because I feel like I can't alternate between two, even though I know I might be more successful if I alternated between a couple of flavors throughout the day...

I have about a dozen unused cartomizers that I refuse to use but refuse to throw out because I feel like I should be using them because I bought them, even though I have found ce4 and ce5 clearos to be far more satisfactory for me.

What's a girl to do?? I want to be off analogs once and for all, and be a better "advertisement" of vaping vs. smoking for my smoking kids.... and I want to keep from hacking off my husband because he is getting ever so slightly annoyed with all the vapemail that has come in the last several weeks... (tough not too when there aren't any b&m joints within 40 miles)... Any insights, suggestions????

money would be better spent on a few new clearos and juice you love, and stop buying the analogs.

For some reason,, I did NOT even enjoy vaping until I put away the analogs, I just went home on a Fri w/out any and by Sunday I was so happy. :)

So I'm not giving you that advice out of thin air, it really worked that way for me.

Just remember, when trying anythign new, you have to *give it your all* as they say, right?
