I don't know if it's because I can actually watch the juice level drop while I vape but I am noticing that I go through a lot more juice quicker when using the ViVi nova or Vision stardust in comparison to just a boge cartomizer. On a filled boge cartomizer I would average around 3-4 mL of juice per day on top offs. I'm seeing myself go through 5-6 mL now with the two wicking tank systems. I don't feel as if I'm taking more or longer draws of the vivi or vision. It feels like drop for drop I'm getting more out of my juice from a cartomizer v.s. a Vivi. I don't know if all of this is in my head or anyone else has experienced this.

I've also noticed this. I've found best to worst delivery systems in terms of juice being used up quickly:
dripping= best and most efficent
cartomizer
clearomizer
cartomizer+ tank= quickest way to go through juice
Cartridge+ atty have never used so idk.

Interesting - I was considering trying out a tank for cartomizers and punching my own. My thinking was I could get the efficiency I'm seeing in my cartomizers with the convenience of a tank to top off less. Maybe this won't be the case then..

I punch my own cartos- one hole 2.5 mm-I can vape 60/ 40 and 70/ 30 PG/ VG.
When I use carto+ tank my carto lasts before tight draw begins:
light juice= 80-90 ml
dark juice= 50-60 ml
Having said that I recently bought a whack of Smok Tech 1.7 cartos for .75 each so for "me" it is economical. I always suggest once you know the flavors you may want to consider DIY to offset/ negate some of the vaping costs. I spend per week on juice and delivery systems/ carto+ tank and clearos approx $1.50.
Also keep an eye on http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/pay-forward-pif/85781-deals-steals-864.html esp around holidays. When I first began vaping I was spending $10 for 50 ml of pre made high quality juice- realize that was a year ago.

You will go threw juice more but that is because your vaping the juice instead of wick or filler because it stays wet as it should and taste better then burned stuff.I use bella carto tanks just make sure to get your juice at a resonable price.I would never pay what some charge for regular price. Then cartos make sure you get a good price as well they will last much longer in tanks so offsets some of the cost. And don't foget cigs these days are about 60.00 a carton in my area i smoked 2-2.5 packs a day so the cost woul be8-o

Huh, when I was using clearos I seemed to be going through more than I am now using a carto-tank, though I'm also vaping 100%vg so the thickness may be responsible for that. I am pretty sure I vape a lot less now than when I first got off analogues, the NEED for nicotine is down, but I still love me some sweet sweet vapes.

The vapor is created by the e-juice. Anything that produces more vapor has to use more juice to do it. I enjoy the fact that the Novas and my 50/50 juice produce clouds of vapor. I don't expect it to be free. Thinner juice also is used faster since it flows easier.

It's a balancing act. Trying to get the vapor I like without getting a lot more nic than before.

Relax, Enjoy!

10ml of juice dripped or used in any other method is going to last about the same rate. Dripping seems more efficient because there are more steps in the process so you will vape less of the time. Its a slower processes then just hitting a button and vaping whenever you want. People say certain things are "juice hogs" but its nonsense. Voltage can effect how fast the juice is burned up, but most people compensate by a shorter hit. Its really negligible. I vape 150-200ml a month, like clockwork. No matter if im dripping, with carto tanks, with just regular cartomizers, with clearomizers, and so on. Its all the same for me. If you are going through a ton more juice, you probably have a leak somewhere.

And your "proof"?
I run a non profit vaping program and that is what we found in studies. We wanted the most efficient and simplistic form of juice delivery because of the large number of people we supply and the costs incurred. Ended up being cartos. I also have large # of friends that vape and they have come to the same conclusion...on their own.
If you are going through a ton more juice, you probably have a leak somewhere.
Have never had any leaks in cartos, tanks or clearos in my year of vaping and I attest that not to good fortune or intelligence but researching here at ECF and elsewhere before I began using or purchasing any delivery device.

Thanks for the replies - Guess I'm not crazy afterall. Working on rebuilding some of the ViVi nova heads and replacing the wicks with cotton ones. Hopefully it will wick faster and won't mute the flavor so much. I expect juice will burn through even faster, though.. Will be interesting to see.. Just waiting on some nichrome wire to arrive.
