Hey Everyone,

So I got my first ecig (901) several months ago. Shortly after I got it, I just had to try some other's. I got an 808d1 and a 510. Then eventually I even went as far as to try the greencig carts (most expensive out there).

Here is the deal, and some may benefit from it.

1. I was keeping my eliquid in a tackle box above the fridge. NOT a good idea. After a few weeks of it being up there, apparently the heat from the back of the fridge turned the juices. All of them have this foul hint of flavor. These were multiple brands, VG and PG. So my suggestion is not to keep them there or anywhere warm. I'm sure 99.9% of everyone here knows better, but just in case you haven't learned the lesson..here it is.

2. I was trying to totally replace my analogs with ecigs. I've read that some do it instantly, some do 50/50, etc. Here is what I got:

A. Oddly enough, outside with smokers I felt a bit odd with my ecig in that you never really get a feeling of being done as you would when you're analog is burned out. I even took it as far as to count how many puffs I take with my analog to try and use that as a way to say "ok done, lets get back to work".

B. As we all know, technically vaping is not smoking and should not have to follow the "no smoking" rules. In my case, the argument isn't worth it because I will loose here. So to avoid the fight, I still go outside with everyone else (except I may sneak it now and then in the restroom like back in highschool..lol)

C. The biggest part to this and what I want to warn some of you about. I'd vape for a bit then decide its not cutting it and then go to an analog. Sounds innocent, but what ended up happening is when I would vape, I'd always need an analog to feel better. The vaping was just the teaser then I'd go to the real one thus taking in more nicotine that ever. So if you must smoke, wait several minutes after vaping and don't just grab the ecig. It could make you worse than when you started.

So with C being my issue, I"m having a real hard time just working with only an ecig. I'm trying several flavors and types to try and find the sweet relief.

I'm using the 510 right now. I have some CG carts on the way as (in my opinion, they produce the most satisfying vapor), but they are kind of weak in TH.

I know this is long winded but if anyone has any comments or ideas on how to get back on the vaping track, I'd sure appreciate it.

I didn't quit smoking until two months after I started vaping. Don't rush it, just set your goal to cut down on smoking.

Another thing is, you didn't mention the amount of nic in your e-juice, maybe you need a higher level, to start. You can cut down on the nicotine later on.

Ricky59, it's a good idea to keep your stash of e-juice in the refrigerator and also in a dark area. I have read some posts about light shortening the life of e-juice.

It's possible your juices are OK but you have fouled up your 510 atty in some way.
This can happen sometimes and any juice you vape through it will taste like dirty socks.
Try a fresh atty and clean the other one later. Blow out the primer fluid first on the new one and prime it with juice. 3 drops only right on the bridge mesh.

All I can say is good luck. You can do it. Get back on track.

And thanks for the tip on the ejuice. I guess I need to be refrigerating mine? Im a total noob at this.

I'm not sure about refrigerating. I asked Ms T (www.mstsbakery.com) who is one of the best ejuice makers out there and she said you can but it may thicken juice until it gets to room temp. My plan is to keep my box of stuff where I know it won't get too hot, like under my sink or something.

I saw others do that though. I guess try it with a sample or something and see how it goes.

Good luck to you too :)

I feel for ya! I quit analogs completely for eight weeks and vaped.. only to fall off as well.. but I am trying again, back on the 510. It's been about four days, I think? Only this time, I am reading (and posting) more on the forum, and I am not trying to quit analogs altogether, but wean from one to the other. So far so good, it's after 3, and I've had half of an analog.. but I do know what you're saying.. nothing quite compares to the TH of the analog.. after finishing one, though, I can't help but wonder why did I light another!?

Try not to be too hard on yourself, and maybe try different juices that will intrigue you.. I don't take "vape breaks" like smoke breaks, I kind of just vape a few, and set it down. This way I am getting smaller but more constant doses of nicotine, decreasing my urge to go have an analog.

I think my next step will be to purchase an eGo, or something along those lines, but in the meantime, I am just plugging along.. I wish you the best!

I thought that, but after cleaning the atty, same result. So I got some fresh juice and a new atty, now that bad taste/smell is gone. All of the ones that I had have that smell, right out of the bottle. The new ones do not. I don't remember if they have a date on them. Maybe I have some older ones or something.

Thanks a lot. In a way, knowing that I'm not the only one like this helps. I was thinking about a tornado or ego as well. Maybe the hotter atty will help out.

I think my breaking point was now I have it in my head to vape then smoke which = BAD!

I appreciate the support a lot. Have a great day.

What level of nicotine are you using? I saw someone else ask, as well.. I agree with JerryRM, it's possible you aren't getting the amount you need.. I've also found that the increased nicotine not only satisfies more of the urge, but gives a better TH.

Looks like you and I started at about the same time and have both fell off.. if ya ever need encouragement, feel free to PM me

I missed the nic level question. I have 2 that are 36, the rest are 24.

I'm also having a hard time right now. Back to smoking one ciggy a day and still not comfortable today. Just can't seem to get the right taste or TH or something. Gonna break out a new carto and mix some 36 and try that. I was doing great and not smoking at all but this week is again difficult... sigh.. I really really hate this addiction :(

I haven't smoked an analog since I started e-cigs. One thing I noticed is that the "buzz" is not immediate like it is with an analog. It takes a few minutes to come on. I used to smoke a pack a day. I started with 26mg and I've sort of settled on 30-32mg. Another thing I've found is that the normal e-cigs (like a regular Joye 510) just don't cut it for me. It worked but that's what it was -- work. I fairly quickly went to a mod (thanks AltSmoke!). 3.7v with a 510 atomizer. That was better. But only better. When I tried the Low Resistance atomizers that did the trick. Vapor, effort, heat, th, whatever was equivalent to analog for me. I'm sort of alternating between 6v and LR/3.7v now and they're sort of equivalent. Different but equivalent. Depends on the juice too.

So you might want to try the LR atomizers. BIG difference.
Then try the right juice for your current situation. Initially I think your primary objective is to kill the analog craving so maybe all these nice flavors and stuff would be secondary. I'd go for something really strong with max TH. Something like Cignot's 555 (VG). Loads of vapor, tremendous throat hit and maybe get it in their strongest nic (26mg). I can make my throat burn with that like when I used to chain smoke and overdo it. DK-TAB seems to give me the most "buzz" and it's not as acrid (strange because it's the same nic level). Even if you don't like the flavor you want to make sure you're getting your full nicotine fix and a really strong TH.

I can imagine that vaping and then finishing with an analog was/is probably giving you a pretty big "hit". The delayed buzz from the vaping and the instant buzz from the analog coupled with the full-on TH of an analog.
