Been awhile since I posted here, I dropped my PVs and picked up my analogs, but I'm tossing them again.

I have a question about an order I'm placing for a new MOD.

SMOKtech FURY - MECH MOD

Battery - Efest 18650 2500mah 35A

tank - Kanger Aerotech MEGA

Dual Coil Atomizer Heads - Here is the question. I have been using dual coil SMOKtech carto tanks, and have had pretty good luck with them on my SMOK WOO regulated mod. But it uses higher resistance coils with stacked batteries, regulated at 5v. Leaving all of my carto tanks useless on any mech mod I own. With the Aero Mega tank, I have choices between 1.5OHM and 1.8OHM, both are dual coil. Which would you recommend on this setup? Or would you recommend a different battery than this?

Cheers.

:rules: Stacking batteries is not recommended! Source: Deeper Understanding of Mod Batteries - Part II

If the batteries are the purple Efest 18650 2500mAh 35A batteries -- they are not 35A continuous. They are really rebranded LG18650HE2 2500mAh 20 amp continuous batteries.

Here is another warning that was posted on ECF regarding another purple Efest battery: Efest 3100mAh battery caution

WHERE TO GET BATTERIES
Only buy batteries from a reputable supplier (not ebay or Amazon) as there are many counterfeit batteries being sold. Here are a few reputable battery suppliers in the US.

* Illumination Supply
* Lighthound
* Orbtronics
* RTD Vapor

Thank you for your advice on the EFEST purple label batteries. I will go ahead and select another battery from my B&M. As to your other point about not stacking batteries, I understand that stacking batteries in a MECH is a big no-no. As well as VV units. The smok woo is an internally regulated, fixed, 5 v ~12 w mod. It doesn't fit anything but 2 stacked batteries, or it doesn't fire. It would simply flash the firing button.
