Heck, I had a few catastrophic meltdowns with my vape equipment WITH me early on and think more like 12 cigarettes, etc. I just dusted myself off the next day.

When I fell off the wagon after reaching a year (inadvertently lowering nicotine plus STRESS) I had a period of dual use that was really really tough and I felt like I really HAD lost everything because I couldn't stop.

ECF had my back then, I bumped up nic in a few setups and got back on the horse. It still feels tentative enough that I'm not ready to put a banner up and when I hit a year, I don't think I will tell anyone. Not THIS time.

But ECF had my back then, and ECF has your back now. You aren't a failure, you haven't lost, and you have a fantastic new toy and a great girlfriend, so come back and gnash your teeth whenever you need to, but perfection 100% of the time is NOT necessary to be a successful vaper, and you can make of this what you choose.

I hope you are having fun with your new toy. :)

I have backups for my backups but I also have a couple pods I carry with me. They're easy to slip in a pocket and carry with you.
Don't kick yourself over 3 cigs. Just prepare yourself so it doesn't happen again. 3 wasn't really a fall anyway. More like a short trip. Dust yourself off and enjoy your new squonk(er?)

My vape broke last night and my back up was out off juice I work in the woods very far from home my machine broke down and the mechanic had cigarettes and I gave in out of frustration had three cigs and I'm so dissapointed I feel like I just threw everything away now .
Try not to beat yourself up any further. It happens. During my first year - there were a few times that either my battery (a built-in one) was completely dead or I totally ran out of juice and yes, I smoked a few cigs. I try to be optimistic -- I only smoked a few and chucked the rest.

Look you only smoked 3 cigs.

When I have had issues with anything in my life I try to find ways to not let it happen again.

Now you can take some steps to make sure it does not happen again.

Since you work in a remote area here are some suggestions to consider so that you have a back-up plan,
  • Maybe get an inexpensive pod as a spare - they stay charged for a long time if you are not using it and only activate when you vape.
  • Get a disposable to keep as an emergency backup.
  • I'd say to get a pod because they are rechargeable -- with the disposable depending on how long it sits - it could be dead when you need it.
  • Get an inexpensive portable charger pack in case you have to charge the extra pod battery -- some pods charge in as little as 15 minutes.
I use a mod with removable batteries. I know yours broke --I carry extra batteries and juice and a spare coil because I am totally paranoid (....). After my mishaps, I carry a tube mod with the battery built-in. At the beginning of each month, I check it to make sure it's charged and if for some reason it is not, I have the portable charger.

I guess everything could up and die at the same time but this way I have really minimized the risk.

It happens!
