fellow vapers PLEASE HELP!!! I need a 18650 3000 mah battery for my chuck ASAP!!!

I go out of town on wednesday, I will be gone for a week, Originally I had two batteries one new and another about to crap out, well just my luck the new one got destroyed. I asked my sister to take it off the charger when the light turned green while I was at a movie, so she tried to and couldn't get the battery out of the charger. She used a key and ripped the protective coating off and there is a wire or something that is exposed now.

It is too late to order anything as I leave in two days, so is there any stores I can go to that would have one? I tried batteries plus and radioshack but they only have cr123 a's which I could do but I hate them as my chuck gets way to hot and they are protected so I only get like three puffs off them and can't use again for like ten minutes.

OR if anybody can come meet me I will PAY BIG $$$$. I am in the plano/northdallas area in texas!!!

can you maybe rewrap the battery that had the plastic ripped? Maybe with electrical tape? Radio shack or somewhere should have shrink wrap too that you could reapply the shrink wrap.

First things first, don't buy crappy UF3000s and you'll be less likely to have these problems in the future.

Capacity claims are not held to any standards and tell nothing about the quality or performance of the cell in the long haul.

My suggestion would ordinarily be to pick up a laptop battery and tear it open to get at a bunch of 18650s. Problem is, if your charger is as crappy as the UF3000s, then I would not want to put unprotected cells on it. Catch 22

Will you be leaving before or after your mail service usually arrives? You could order a couple of these:
AW 18650 Protected 2900 mAh Rechargeable Lithium Battery
to be over-nighted more than likely... Call them up in the morning to see if they can get them shipped out same day for you.

LOL i am almost desperate enough to do this! it sucks too, because I have 15 mls of juice left and once that ran out I was going to quit vaping all together but maybe i might have to sooner than i thought haha.

If it all comes down to it I will probably look up a how to of the process of doing this.

unfortunately I guess i REALLY got boned on this as I leave wednesday at ten and it is 8:00pm monday here, so even if i could afford those batteries I don't think I would get it in time.

I will most likely check out the laptop thing.

Anyways thank you SO MUCH for the reply! I have to admit normally whenever I see a post like mine i tend to ignore it (rude of me) but thank you so much for the info. It seems as if you can't buy 18650's anywhere at stores is this true to your kn owledge?

Call hobby stores that deal with Radio controlled "adult" toys... Some electric planes use LiCo or LiMn cells. You could use IMR (3.7V LiMn) cells for this application as well. Not sure if any would carry that or not but hey... worth a try right?
