Few ideas for batteries...

I dont know if this is possible but it would be pretty cool if the LED on the end would change colors indicating battery level. For example:

• Blue = Full
• Green = Half
• Red = (or Flashing as usual) Low / Recharge

Also, on manuals I hate not knowing if the battery is working so I always use my finger to reflect the LED so I can know what is going on...

It would be nice to have a lighted button or to extend the visibility of the LED by making it a cap so you can see it while taking a draw.

While its prob a PITA to do that, my friend has been saying the same thing. He hates not knowing till it flashes, he keeps whining that he wishes there was a level indicator on the side or bottom (because again, who looks at the top. To me, I always have a 2nd fully charged batt in case it dies so an indicator is not too important, but would be nice.

Battery life monitoring on Lithium* batteries is VERY difficult. Made far more difficult by the limited physical space available. In a large mod - sure. Expensive, but doable. In these tiny things? Not nearly as likely.

Yeah.. Kinda figured.. Like I said in my original post, I dont know if this is possible and you cleared it up...

Would it be expensive to create an adaptor with and LED that would go between a carto and a battery? Not for battery level indication... simply to know its working and not misfiring..

It would look like a 901 to 510 adapter but a clear plastic with an LED inside that would turn on when taking a draw..

Sorry - I wasn't meaning to rain on your parade. And there are "fuel-gauge processors" out there that are complete SOC to do it. I just can't find one in those tiny form-factors, and I've really looked.

An adapter to fit in between would be very easy. LED, resistor, two connectors, a chunk of acrylic. Cheap in China, gawdawful expensive here. The silly connectors are a couple dollars each. I could build what you're looking for, one off, for probably $6. $3 in MOQ 1000. In China, probably $0.15 BOM, probably $0.75 to V4L, probably $1.99 on the shelf.

I was wondering if yall had a recycle program for used batteries? I would be willing to send those that no longer take or keep a charge back if it helped the company. Any ideas as to what to do with them would be nice.

They can be recycled at battery reclamation sites, but the general rule for Lithium* is to throw them in a heavy salt water mixture for a day or two, then toss 'em in the landfill.

The cost to someone like V4L to reclaim anything is faaar more than a new battery is worth at retail, even.

Another idea... I would be willing to buy LED attachments to change out the LED on the fly. Im not dress savy, but it would be a way to show my mood.

Mabey even a graphics request for the battery?
