Just wanted to thank everyone for being so kind with their suggestions.

After MUCH debate, I broke down and ordered the KR808D-1 from Vapor Kings. I'm super excited and CAN'T wait to get it!

No more smoke smell, no more boyfriend complaining when I smoke in my car, and no more standing out in my backyard freezing my .... off!

Now if I could just get everyone to understand that this is a good alternative and stop pestering me to just quit cold turkey! I think if I tried that, a few deaths might occur. Very happy with my decision and glad there's others like me to support it!

Thanks guys!

Hehehe.. I feel that way about my husband pestering me to quit. Which luckily, I just got my VK in the mail, and I think he's about as happy as I am! You will love it. What kind of flavors did you choose?

I started off with some chocolate and some Dr. Pepper (my favorite drink). Not so sure how the DP will taste. Really wanted to find some english toffee cartomizers for the 808, but didn't see any.

Where else can I buy cartomizers for the 808?

Most vendors will carry cartomizers compatible with V4L except smoke51, greensmoke, and bloog. I order the blank cartomizers and fill with juice because I just dont like the taste in prefilled.

Congrats on deciding a kr8, its my personal favorite. I recommend kr8's to all my friends because of the simplicity of the model and besides that it has superior taste and good vapor. Please let us know of your progress!

yay! sounds like you had about as much fun as i did when i was trying to make up my mind. i got a kr8 and after some initial quibbles with it which i got over fairly quickly, i've been nothing but happy with it.
and you're right about quitting cold turkey causing deaths. i told people for years that people shouldn't worry about second hand smoke coming out of me, it's when i stop smoking that the mortality rate around me increases rapidly.
Good Times(tm)

Okay. I just have to say that USPS tracking SUCKS.

It says my ecig was sorted and processed through my local sorting facility and 'out to its destination' and the mail came, no ecig today. UGH!

Their system is SOOOO slow on updating the status of your package.

Really excited to get my ecig and I guess I'll have to wait another day. Granted, it really hasn't been that long and it was shipped out very quickly, but I haven't been this excited to get a package in a LONG time.

Sigh....

Read, Read, Read all you can then jump in, the water is fine. You can't possibly purchase the perfect device the first time.

sorry to burst your bublé buuut...i believe that my decision to purchase the TW tornado as my first and only PV, subsequently resulted in that very thing...the perfecect device my first time;):D

and Ms. Fire, wish i had seen this thread earlier cause maybe then you could be as thoroughly satisfied as I was my first day and all the days that ensued that wonderful day! oh well, you can always get one later:p

Ha! And there's not even a little part of you that wonders if there's something even better?

Absolutly, I love mine from cignot.

How long does the atomizers last? Should I purchase extras?

Attys should last from 2 weeks to months and months. Some die in days. Yes you should get extras.

How long does the battery last in the 510? If it's, say two hours, is that two hours period, or two hours of actual vaping?

Depends on how much you vape. I have a PCC and it keeps them charged fully when I am not vaping. That would be 2 hours, not 2 hours vaping. I good guess would be, uhh 30 min vaping...

I'm assuming the LEDs are the tip? What's the difference between automatic and manual? Which is better?

No big difference IMO, the auto has an issue with direct dripping as it may ruin your batter and very loud environments, ie a club with going off in your hand/pocket. However I can hold it in my mouth and play video games and not have to hit the button. The auto has a cut off and the manual does not. I would say most prefer the manual.

And how long does liquid or cartridges last? I'm confused if I buy the 510 will I be buying replacement cartridges or liquid?

Each pre filled cart lasts about 5-10 worth of analog cigs. Buy some carts maybe 10 and re fill them with liquid. My first 10ml of liquid lasted me around 10 days or more. THis also depends on how much you vape. However it is MUCH cheaper in any case.

Oh, and is there women out there that vape and are currently on birth control pills? One of my concerns along with overdosing on nicotine!

Talk to your doctor about this one. Some warning signs of OD on nic is headaches, blurred vision and .........

Good answers! :thumb:

I've tried 'almost' every Model of eCigs there are (I've spend HUNDREDS and wish that I knew what I know now) and The Cignot Joye 510 is incomparable.... (especially the price!) I have a KR808-d1 also and hands down the 510 produces much more vapor!

You will definitely need to buy extra atomizers as their life expectancy varies tremendously.. I've had some last a few hours to a few months - (five would be excellent insurance)

Don't forget to buy some 'nic juices' also as you never want your Atomizers to get too dry... you need to 'prime' them with a couple of drops of nic Juice every so ofter.. whenever there's a significant reduction in vapor and flavor and/or the Atomizer begins to get 'too warm' between your fingers.. you'll develop a 'feel' for this in pretty short order.

Nothing is more harmful than Smoking Analogs... so eCigs are a 'safer alternative' to Smoking. Check with your Dr. to be 'sure' however as I can't be held responsible for sharing my opinion.

HAPPY VAPE-ING! :D

And I agree with you Jam, except I fit all in three categories. I started as 2 quickly went 1 with 2, then joined 3, with quite a few side trips along the way. 8-o
I concur with NCC; I started with a 3 piece but vastly prefer the two piece units like the KR808 (I am now using Vapor King from Vapor4Life). In contrast to your history, I have quit many times before, but no longer have the urge for analogs whatsoever - even when drinking around other smokers which was my usual downfall. You could spend many weeks and hours like I did scouring this site, reading endless opinions and reviews. In my opinion, there are three basic categories of vapers on this awesome forum: 1. The hardcores with all kinds of mods and highly developed knowledge and experience, 2. The 510 group, and 3. The KR808 group. If you don't have the time to do all the research (or time to waste getting caught up in all the interesting tangents), then I recommend you opt for either the 510 or KR808. I think the KR808 is far better than the POS I started with, and although cannot speak from firsthand experience for the 510, I am sure it is just as good as the KR808. Each have their fan camps, pluses and minuses, but you can't go wrong with either option based on my investigation. Down the road, you may find yourself pursuing more advanced technical solutions, but for now, just get started. Can't advise you regarding medical issues, you should definitely consult your doctor - check out the excellent medical risk forums on this board as well. Good luck with your decision, hope you can spend more time reading here to make an informed decision!

My first sign of overdoing on the nicotine is the hiccups! Annoying but not dangerous.

Vapor4life.com has English Toffee cartomizers. One of my favorites, a bit dry and I can taste a bit of coconut in them.

Happy vaping!

Those English Toffee cartomizers sound really good. I will have to check those out.

And I can never rely on hiccups to tell me about a nic overdose. I'm usually in a hurry to run out and smoke and tend to swallow a lot of air sometimes. There will be days that I constantly hiccup, but they only occur when I smoke.

My ecig should be here today and I can hardly contain myself!

So far so good. Opened it up right when I got home from work and was suprised to find my batteries were charged already. Tried it out and was suprised with the taste of the cappuchino sample carts I got. Still craving analogs, but it is my first day, so I won't be to hard on myself. Should have gotten black batteries cuz I'm worried about getting the white ones dirty with my hands! Will keep you guys updated. Thanks for the support!
