Hi efc ! For money reasons and not having support from my SO to continue ecigs I quit around new years. I'm tentatively getting back into things now, just have my old RIva battery, a bottle of shortcake juice and ressurectors. what new technology has sprung up if any in the last ~5-6 months ? or are things pretty much the same? any new outstanding vendors, small batteries/cartomizers/ Health concerns?? :)

by the way ~7 month steeped strawberry shortcake juice is delish

I think Carto tanks have gotten big in that time. They're essential plastic or glass tubes surrounding your carto, filled with juice which feeds into the carto through either punched holes or cut slots. They range from $10 to $65 and up.

I went with glass tanks myself as some of my favorite juices are known to crack plastic tanks but, for $12, a SmokTek DCT tanks would work with your Ressurectors if you wanted to try one for cheap.

I've never had a plastic tank crack. How durable are the glass ones? I'm really clumsy and could see myself cracking a glass one more.

Misleading title. Sorry i just had to say that.

Edit:

You had it coming!! haha ok i'm serious now.

Yes get a nice tank it's so much better than having just a cartomizer because you can visually see when you need to refill. No more guessing. And having your own drip tip hanging off the tank is pretty cool too.

I use a Phiniac and haven't had any problems with it, but I do try to be careful with it; you won't see me throwing mine across the room like they do in their videos. It's pretty thick glass they say is Pyrex and it seems to be pretty durable. Also, the flange on the end caps sticks out just a bit so if they fall on a flat surface, it should be the caps taking the hit instead of the glass.

I got through most of my first year of vaping with a minty menthol juice, DIY at times and sometimes pretty strong, both said to cause problems with polycarb tubes, so I didn't want to take the chance on spending $20 on a tank and destroying it with my juice.

I personaly wouldn't use the DCT tanks I mentioned because they are rather think tubes (I hear), therefore more fragile, and they don't hold onto the cartos real well (I hear) but they're a cheap way to try out tanks and see if they might be for you. BTW, the moment in the PBusardo review of the Smoktek tanks where he finds out just how "slidey" they are is one of the funniest moments in vaping reviews I have seen.

Kinda like the Gorilla Glass videos. Anyone got a link to the glass tank video?

They are usually uncrackable glass .I know Phiniac has a video of them pitching their glass tanks at a wall and stomping on them and dropping them from high up and they dont crack.
