Filled cartomizers for the first time!!!!

I know I may probably sound like a big dork....BUT I just had to share. I placed 4 orders for e-juice all from different places and one of them finally arrived today from VaporBomb!!!!! I filled 5 cartos all by myself and I hope successfully. I will know once I try them tomorrow. I though it would be much harder than it was. Not too sure I'll ever want to get into DIY but the premixed seems really easy!!!! WOO HOO!!!!! Now I have to order more Blank Cartomizers!

Lol, Cartomisers are definitely the way to go... you'll never use a small cartridge again! I was delighted when I finally figured out how to fill them, I'd bought the ones that have to be filled with a syringe and didn't know I had to pierce a hole in the centre.. I kept filling the juice into the side spaces and wondering why it was running out? Boy did I feel stupid when I finally worked out what I should be doing. Lol.

Trust me, you've just made it a LOT cheaper to keep on vaping--which is cheaper than smokes anyway. As far as the DIY route goes, don't let it scare you. I started doing mine within a week or so of starting vaping and it's really easy AND cost-effective. Maybe not for you now, but I'd recommend keeping that thought in the back of your mind for now as something you might want to play with later.

I use them until they degrade in performance or flavor - for Boge standard resistance 510s that is sometimes as long as two weeks. Then I set them aside to try to clean some time. Some people are successful with cleaning and some are not. Until you figure out which you are, I recommend not counting on being about to clean and dry and reuse them. And try new juices by dripping or cart first to see if you like the juice before filling a carto with it.

I killed a bunch of cartos either under/over filling when I first tried. Now I think I have it figured out. Seems like it should have been so easy. Guess I didn't have the patience as a newbie. Vape on punkrockers.

That's great. I love cartos. Now you can vape whatever flavors you want. I remember how happy I was when I first filled some up and was successful.

Good job, Shannon. Not only are you saving money, but you have so many more options in juices available to you, including your own mixes if you decide to try it. Just make sure not to run them too dry and you should be able to fill them quite a few times.

i would definitely take dormouses advice, get an atomizer and drip tip or cart and drip to test flavors out first before you contaminate your cartos. you may not like some of your juices, and if you dont you can easily trade or sell the ones you dislike here =D you will save looads on cartos, and find more juices that suit you.

I am waiting on my new RIVA with atomizers and drip tips as well as carts...so excited

Shannon, I filled my own cartos over the weekend, too and it was a very ZEN experience for me! Everyone send your cartos to kittypie for filling!

I found that the mistake I made the first couple of times was over filling them. Now, I put 12-14 drops in and let them soak for a few minutes. Then, I go back and add a few more drops. Also, I keep turning the carto to evenly distribute the juice as I'm filling.
Now, I fill 10 or more at a time.
Oh, make sure you blow through the threaded end into a tissue or rag before putting the condoms back on for storage.
