Finally breaking out the iClear 30

Since I got my MVP a week ago, I opted to stick with the EVOD that i already had on my Ego. Today, i decided to give the iClear a try.
Before i just filled it up and started vaping away, which i did with the EVOD when it was new, I though I would open it up and dry burn the coils a bit. I started on 3.7 and blipped the button until they started glowing while blowing the burnt away. then i turned the volts up slowly. I could definitely smell the burning of the wick and coil so im glad I did the dry burn first. I didnt rinse the wick/coil off afterwards because i wasn't sure if that was necessary.
Then i primed the coil and hit it like an atty a coupe times and it seemed to taste ok. then, i filled the tank, let it wick up for a couple minutes and puffed away.
I gotta say, the vape was great. im happy

a couple things that i noticed

1. the bottom coil heated up faster and brighter than the top one.
2. there is no additional flavor wick on top of the coils. would that change anything in the taste?

my only complaint is the draw is more restricted for my liking and as cool as the swivel tip is, i dont like the cold, metallic sensation on my lips. I prefer plastic

I agree with your mini review. I prefer Protank 2's because they are glass and I can vape anything out of them. Also the iclears are known juice hogs but they can hit like a freight train with all of those wicks!! Also, until I master rebuilding the coils, the replacement heads for the PT's are much cheaper.

youre right about the freight train and along with the tight airflow, the clouds are huge!

This just in
My MVP just got down to yellow and the iClear 30 just stopped vaping. i put the EVOD back on and im back in business.
I put the iClear30 on my fully charged Ego and its vaping again.
so it looks like the dual coils are too much for low batteries.
Im sure this is nothing new to some but it was something new to me.

conclusion: iClear30 goes in the junk drawer
