Ok so my dad is a semi truck driver who drives all over the country and recently convinced him to try vaping on my istick 50 watt and subtank mini, he liked it but he wants something smaller and easier for someone that's on the go. I told him the istick 50 with the subtank plus (since it holds 7ml) for him would be perfect. He doesn't want anything with an external battery, he wants something that would be convenient to plug and charge. I don't know what better you can get than the istick as far as what he is looking for. Does anyone have any suggestions besides the istick 30 watt? Also for tanks I think since he is a semi truck driver and constantly on the road it would be better for him to get the subtank plus or even that other tank that holds 10ml (I forget what its called but I remember it being square shaped). Also another issue is he doesn't want to deal with rebuilding and rewicking. Hope this is enough information for some suggestions. You guys helped me get my first istick 50 and subtank mini and they're both still going strong! He seems to be a fan of those "pen like vaporizers" as he calls them lol. Once again thank you guys very much and all suggestions are appreciated.

I started vaping almost 4 months ago after smoking for 22 years. I started with, and still use, an ego style battery (maybe referred to as a stick battery). Mine is a spinner type (I am sure by this point you can tell how rookie I actually am). My tank is an Aspire CE5 and only holds 1.8ml. My husband, who uses the same type battery, has a Kangor T3S and I think it holds 3 ml. It sounds like that you are thinking of the bigger tank because he is on the road; however, with an ego style battery, I do not think he will run through juice as quickly as he would with an iStick (from what I have read and I am sure the vets on here can educate us both in that area). Then if you get him a 2-4 tanks and 2-4 batteries, he will be all set. I say if he is interested in a "pen style", that is what he should try. It will most likely keep him on track.

Hi, I'm a driver also. The beginning of your post sounded l like my eGrip is exactly what your Dad wants. Smaller, easier and no external battery. Then at the end you mentioned he likes the pen style. Like two completely different animals to me? I'll throw this in the mix anyway.

My eGrip is the version 1. Variable wattage 8-20 watts. Wooden drip tip is not included comes with a stainless steel one. 3.4 ml tank. 1550mah built in battery. I fill and charge just before I start my day and both the tank and battery last me thru a 14 hour day. Micro usb charging port with passthru. Has an optional rebuildable base if he's a diy kinda guy. Newer versions have an OLED screen and push 30 watts or more.
Huge thread here devoted to them. Just plug eGrip into the search box in the upper right corner.

The iStick VV V3 or V4 would be a good choice. It's a "pen style" type, and has a passthrough, so if you father wanted to, he could plug a USB into his truck's cig lighter and vape without being concerned about battery life. Then he could unplug and vape untethered whenever he wanted with a decent battery life (between 800 mAh and 1000mAh depending on the model he gets). As for tanks...the GS Air M holds about 4ml. and with the GS Air coils is an excellent choice for tanks and lasts a long time. Easy to fill and maintain, also. No leaks. I vape extremely heavy (about 10+ ml a day) for a non cloud chaser Tootle Puffer and my coils last between one and three weeks..depending on the luck of the draw.

If he prefers the pencil shape and isn't set on round, I recommend the Innokin Itaste VV V3 or V4. They don't last a super long time between charges, but can be used as pass through or they're cheap enough to buy two. (Or three, or four:blush:.) and being square helps them to stay put.

I started with two VV v3s two years ago, and I still have one of the originals. I've picked up fancier, bigger PVs since, but right now beside my computer I have three v3s and a v4.

The V4 is in the middle - slightly bigger with more battery life than the V3s.

Hi an welcome
Your Dad could take a few Vision Spinners with him. They do the trick for a beginner if paired with a good tank like a Nautilus Mini or the GS Air.
Or since he already know about the subtank vapor he could try out the soon to be released Kanger Nebox which is the same style like the Egrip, but works with Subtank Coils and has a whopping 10ml internal tank.
this new Box hasn't hit the market yet but is available for preorder for under 50$ (google for vaping cheap and nebox)
