First of all, this forum is awesome so THANK YOU :)

I'm a complete stranger to vaping but I at my end with smoking, especially after the chain smoking for days slumped over the computer reading posts and trying to keep my head from exploding lol. I've decided to go with the KGO kit from Hoosier and if I feel I need smaller for when I'm out, I'll get a cpl smaller batts of some sort but I didn't want my first experience to not be enough and put me back on analogs....thx for all the info, has taken me way up from my initial Greensmoke idea.

Getting KGO kit, 2 pks Boge LR 2.0 ohm cartos, 2 clearos to try, 1 extra 510 LR atty (2 come with kit) so I can try flavors to find what I like to make the switch, drip tips (2 cuz I want diff colors), and sample juices, also guna try some organic from Virgin Vapor.

Here are my questions: What are the best clearos for the KGO? Do Boge cartos come in colors? Can I change the black mouth piece on the clearos (vision/stardust)? Prolly shouldn't matter but I know it will help me to be excited about how it looks too and I wanna end up with brushed silver and baby blue and same with purple. The little details help for me and I hate the black end of the carto sticking out of the cone.

Also...where is a good place to find the Boge Cartos and Vision/Stardust clearos if I can get them at the same place and can find colors in the cartos...? Hoosier is out of all the colors I would want for clearos so I need another place...maybe for juice too. I do understand I will prolly end up getting things from alot of diff places but to start, just a cpl would be nice...really want off these smokes somethin fierce.

Thanks for any help...I'm sure I'll have more questions before I order which I hope to do tonight...after sitting here for days...I'M SO READY

Check out Sweet Vapes (sweet-vapes.com). You can get KGO kits that come with Visions, and they have a ton of color combos to mix and match batteries and Visions. They also have the atties and Boges you want; however, the Boges only come in black or stainless. The prices look good, too.

They have juices as well, but I have not tried any.

Well at least ur not excited. Lol. Ya the tips you can change out for other tips. So you can keep them color coded to your liking. And rule #1 of vaping, no one store is going to have everything you need. Lol. So just search around for the cartos and such until you find them at a good price somewhere.

first off, welcome to ECF!

secondly, your questions, answered:

on clearos: i'm not the biggest clearo fan due to bad experiences with leaks, but i have yet to try the stardusts, which i hear great things about, and even not being a fan of clearos, i do LOVE the vivi nova tanks, i own the larger nova and the mini nova, and i might note that the mini nova meshes perfectly with the KGO using the thread adapter from hoosier

boge cartos: i know of them to come in black and stainless, i have not seen other colors, but they may exist

changing appearance: the "mouthpiece" you mention is a drip tip, easily interchangeable.

suppliers: try gotvapes for accessories, my personal favorite juice vendor at the moment is DFW vapors, and my all-around cool site award goes to vapors choice

i also recommend grabbing a smoktech dual coil tank, as they are simply amazing vaping on the KGO, i use the 3.5ml for the clean lines it gives with the thread adapter, and the tank, replacement cartos, and thread adapter can be found at hoosier

and to give you something to look forward to: my KGO (in chrome, also from hoosier)

get more cartomizers. A small percent of them are bad right out of the box and there is a bit of a knack to filling them so it is possible to wreck them easily. Batteries and chargers also fail so have backups. Don't worry about how equipment looks, some of it is uglier but a joy to use. Like I have a couple of stardusts in a box but use one of the little carto tanks every day. You could try some tea juice from rawr. A lot of flavors don't work like a person would expect but tea is one that works pretty well, imo.

Signer..I did look at sweet vapes as I'm stoked on the Hoosier logo being branded on the Batt but Sweet Vapes doesn't have the brushed silver I want and Dark city I checked too and hate the gold bands, Hoosier seems to be the best and in stock for the kit I want, thx for the info.
Dantesinferno...Noooo, not excited at all lol. I'm like a kid in a candy store, promlem is I am problematically (new word) indecisive...which does not come in handy...OBVIOUSLY. lol thanks for the tip :)

Not much of a color choice on Boge cartos. But lots of different drip tips. What color Kgo did you get? I have black, chrome, & titanium.
Learn how to vape & fill cartos & find your "go-to" juice for now Then we'll show you how to decorate or trick out your vape.
I'm excited you ordered Kgo. Loving miine. Somedays I forget to smoke.

So you guys think I should skip the other delivery systems and just use cartos for now? I was only guna order some other things cus this is my money for the month, won't be able to order again til sept, thought it would be handy to have some new things to try out already here for after i'm familiar with just the cartos...good idea or no?

Looking at the mini novas now too, thanks elmattias...and thx for the pic, pretty! what do you have on that?

that would be the excalibur 2ml minitank from vapors choice....i will warn though that it has iffy threads and has leaked on me a few times, i only use it at home now, it is effectively a clone of the mini nova, but the nova is far superior in construction....but aesthetically it is admittedly more appealing being chrome on chrome and doesn't need an adapter to create the seamless look

i would skip the extra atomizer tbh, those things are quite sturdy...i'd also grab at least a nova tank, as you can rebuild them for pennies on the dollar as opposed to cartomizers.....just some food for thought

Haven't ordered it yet, but going with the brushed silver? is that the same as titanium? Crap...here I go again lol. Thanks for the advice, it's good.

titanium is a brushed silvery color with a slight golden hue to it, should be able to see it on the kit preview at hoosier as the one furthest to the left on the second picture in the "more details" frame

Hi Moondance-and welcome! I have kgo from Dark City(red-about 2wks old)and it does have the silver bands...I think he had 2diff versions(? Seems I remember a notation about the ones in stock now had silver vs gold).....but, I've used Smoke Tech XL 1.7 lr's, boge(shoot..can't think of ones I ordered but standard length not XL) and a stardust clearo -they all fit up perfectly and I can't say I've had an issue with any(save user error lol!). Check the vendor links here in the forum when your brain cools off(I know that feeling from my decision process a couple of weeks ago)...you'll see some direct links to vendors these folks know and trust and you'll find all sorts of do-dad's you probably won't be able to live without.

The ultimate answers to your questions:

Yes you got a good unit. In the future you may want to pick up an Ego C Twist 1000mah replacement battery to add to your gear.

Boges come in black and stainless steel only. They're good cartos IF you like cartos. They can be cleaned and reused for months and months.

The best clearo on the market is the Vision Vivi Nova. Unlike the Stardust, you can add your own 510 drip tip (it's compatible with MOST of them), and it can be rebuilt easily which is a money saver. They also have an option of purchasing a metal tank replacement which makes your PV into a standoff personal defense weapon in a pinch! The only drawback to the Vivi Nova is that sometimes it has a tight draw that needs to be adjusted (the Stardust can't really be adjusted), and the rubber seals (o-rings) can give out after a while. They are cheap to replace at a hardware store though. The last drawback is also minor it is that the Vivi doesn't attach to the outer threads of your battery (the cone threads) so cosmetically they look like crap, especially without a 510 to 510 adapter (the one without the cone threads) which streamlines your look. You can get them at empiremods, or gotvapes for just a few bucks.

A lot of people will suggest the Stardust but let me tell you why I don't suggest it. Even though they released a new rebuildable stardust, they require a thorough cleaning and dry burning every few days at most. You'll be lucky to get a mere 5ml through them before you want to clean them again. They crack all the time, especially at the bottom, but I have actually had the drip tip area underneath the top metal ring snap off on two of mine. They say they don't crack and then right next to them they sell replacement tanks, fail... The MAIN reason I can't suggest a Stardust is a reason ONLY KGO USERS would know. That is that they do not fit well on the KGO and they have about the tightest draw on the universe (akin to a fresh McDonald's milkshake through a regular sized straw). If you want to turn red in the face and maybe get an aneurysm then go for it but don't say I didn't warn you. There is a slight difference between the battery connection on an EGO, for which they were designed, and the KGO which is a superior voltage EGO knockoff. The standard ego battery is a 3.6volt device, the KGO is a 4.2volt device.

I would recommend a KGO to anyone who doesn't want variable voltage. It is the king of the Ego type batteries. On the other hand I can't recommend HoosiersEcigSupply because he brands his batteries with a stupid ad logo (he didn't design the KGO, SLB did!) and DarkCityVapor is a company whose owner is an ECF Veteran who will gladly answer your questions (and you will have them) with his instant chat on his website. He doesn't brand his KGO's either. Where is Brent from Hoosier's? Not on ECF... If I'm going to advertise for you then I want to be paid for it.

Gotta run out for a few but will reply soon....real quick tho, ShogaNinja, I am already set on the twist in a few week, just didnt want to overwhelm myself at first, did almost buy one to start tho after all the posts and deciding I didn't abosutely HAVE to have an anolog look alike (almost got a volt), think for the first few weeks KGO will be good, then Twist. I know I need more than a small batt to get me off smoking. Thx for the wealth of info, I'll read more carefully when I return.
