Finally decided on the upgrade! volt

Barley over a week in to vaping now and well.. after all the suggestions and shopping around I think I'm going with smokeless image volt x2 - (in rainbow) at 1300mAh
Maybe two of them even
I started shopping that site hours ago.. have filled and emptied the cart a bunch of times and they're out of stuff I want. The end caps for the batteries.. for jewel tones.. just clear atm.
Clearomizers.. out of stock - and I really didn't want to go with the cartomizers (at least not without wraps for them)
oh right.. must get chargers for them.. assuming my 401 chargers will be useless for these

The x2 batteries come with a pass thru charger w/o needing to order one. I would recommend getting the 1.5v usb/ac wall adaptor so that you can vape while the battery charges, and anywhere there is a wall outlet nearby (like in bed watching tv).

Since they are out of clearomizers, you may want to try the ce3's or the nano in their place.

I LOVE my X2 (900mah), I mainly use it when home and have yet to run it down while using it, for out and about or work I use the standard stick batts and rotate thru 2or3 thru my workday...awesome product.

well, that will certainly depend on how much you vape. But for light to moderate vaping 3 a month should definitely be enough. I can't be more specific cause my Nanos are still relatively new (only ~10 refills so far) and I do not know how long they will actually last.

But may I also suggest CE3s. These thing are really durable (with proper occasional cleaning). I still use a few CE3 I bought in June. They've been through 50+ refills (and accordingly 50+ ml of liquid) and are still alive!

It may give an estimate of expected use time either in the product description on the website or on the Smokeless Image sub-forum here: Smokeless Image

I don't personally have a Nano. I use the ce3's to test new juice samples with my Provari. Since they are reusable and receive minimal use, the few that I have have lasted me a couple of months and still going.

It also depends upon how heavy you use yours. I would think they should last you 2-3 weeks each easy. Read the Nano threads on the sub-forum and see how long other customers get with theirs.

I bet people who use these regularly have several and put different flavors in each one.

The nano's - not for me. It was a big enough step to get my brain wrapped around a tank instead of the *filter tip* carts - and clear still kind of bugs me too.

I'm wondering if this brand is compatable with other brand's cartomizers.. I think it said compat with 510 products...

Opal Smokeless Image is a 808 connection so you would need to get other brands they would need to have an 8-8 connection. They are not 510 compatable unless you get an adapter. Lots of places have 808 products. Got Vapes, Vapor 4 Life, are two off the top of my head but there are a lot of the suppliers that carry 808 compatables

If you look on the sub-forum, a new larger clearomizer tank is on its way to Smokeless Image. It will hold 3 ml. Called the X2-T3. You may want to wait until they are in stock.

you will love the volt X2!! it's amazing!

but as someone said, they are 808 threaded,,,

if you use cartos, you can use any 808 threaded cartos,,,,,including smokeless images (which are supurb, I admit) or Revolution Vapors (which are cheaper,,,,,,I do like them, and I have some for emergencies)

but I don't think the diamond end caps FIT the X2s anyway,,,,,,,,,those are for the smaller 65 and 78mm batts,,,,,,,I believe,,,someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I have a Smokeless Image X2 & smaller 78 's. Just ordered these yesterday (link below) to try out, after reading some good things about them on the forums here.

Just placed my order... got a crap load of stuff

1 basic Starter kit - pink 78mm battery
3 xtra 78mm (red, silver and rainbow)
1 x2 in rainbow 1300mAh

5 nano's two blue, two purple and one red

and the 1.5 wall adapter

I've written to prosmoke - since the second battery has gone nuts now.. like trying to drink ice cream through a straw to make the light come on... because I want to return BOTH of the kits from them

I will be sharing the above gear with hubby - even though he's got his E Cab (he hates the button)
so I think - besides the pacing by the mailbox - we're going to be good to go for a bit

you also have only one charger there,,,,the 78s will take 3 hours to charge and the X2 will take 6 hours to charge,,,,,maybe more.

you might want to pick up at walmart or somewhere a 1.0 adapter for the wall with maybe more than one usb port to charge a couple of the 78s,,,,,,,,,,use the 1.5 for the X2.

the starter kit comes with one and I put as an extra the adapter there too.. so there should be the usb charger - 2 - 1.5 wall adapters and the pass thru that comes with the x2

Ok, that's good, but you may want another usb charger at some point,,,,,you have 4 of the smaller batts and only one usb charger (that comes in the kit) you can only charge ONE of the smaller batts at one time. The next time you order something from SI, you MAY want another one. See how it goes

just a guess.. the passthru is dedicated to the 2x - can't be used on the 78mm's?

nope, the pass through can only be used on the X2,,,,you plug the mini usb end into the X2 and then the regular usb end into the wall adapter,,,and vape away,,,,

if it's really DEAD when you plug it in, don't panic if it doesn't work (I did! ) you may have to let it sit for half an hour to partially charge before it works as a pass through,,,,,

THAT'S one of those times your 78mm will come in handy

you will probably want to vape more than you smoked,,,,,most of us do it's cheaper and better tasting than cigs.
