And, a stripped post screw with it... The screw sits in the hole, but slides in and out, it does however stay in the hole if pushed down all the way and held upside down... Do you guys think if I wrapped a coil around the stripped screw, AND it held in place, it would be alright to use until I can get a replacement screw in? I already switched the other screw to both sides, so I know it's not the deck threading, it's the screw.

Damn, that sucks... 1 day of usage and now it's complete garbage because of one screw... What do you think the worst outcome would be if I used it anyways? I mean, I really don't want to switch back to my mini protank 2 if I don't have to, but I feel that I'm going to have to anyways :\ Maybe I can find a screw somewhere that fits, I doubt it though.
EDIT: I have it hooked up and all coiled up on my battery, it's firing, the screw is definitely a little loose, but it isn't moving unless I touch it, if I tilt the deck to the side it has no effect on the screw, still thinking it's probably not a good idea though :\ Anyone else have an opinion?

You'll probably have issues once you start heating the coil, and it's unlikely you're going to have a consistent resistance when you can't tighten one of the screws.
Even worse, if you're using a mech, you could risk a short if it comes loose. Get a new screw.

I second that..i have an old version KF which have the same problem as you..keep shorting out and bought another KF which come in some spares and use the spare screw to replace the spoiled one..

Anyone have ideas on household items that have screws that would work? I have a lot of junk, been rummaging for a few hours now in hopes I can find a screw that will work, about to give up and just go to lowes tomorrow :\ If I were to show them the screw do you think they would be able to take me to at least similar ones that would work?
UPDATE! I found a screw out of an old smartphone, it wasn't that long or as long as my other screws, but it DID screw in nice and tight, should this be fine? It took forever to find, its nice and snug on the deck and is holding my lead tightly.

Surprised mine came with a full SvoeMesto logo, instead of missing the o like in the picture lol. I did find a screw from an old HTC smartphone that fit and works, no problems at all, have changed the coil since I found the screw and re-wicked twice so far. I shouldn't expect any problems in the future right?
