I wonder what the heads are going to cost? I love the PT 2 and can get the authentic heads for $5.46 a 5 pack.
The BDC heads cost around $9 (to $11) for 5 unless wholesale prices have dropped in the last month. They are almost twice as expensive as their single-coil counterparts even at the wholesale level.

Someone rebuild the dual coils already so I can get some insight lol. Been vaping my pt3 for like 3 weeks.. I've had the pt2 and mini. And I do notice a better flavor and a warm to even hot vape when I up the volts on this dual coil. I had a really weird issue with it not performing when i changed a head out... Which I think I can just chalk up to a dud coil. If you look hard enough you can find a 5 pack of coils for a little under $10

All in all it's decent. I just want to beef up these coils and wicks though.

I will not purchase one of these pt3's. I have the pt2 and it is good, even though I had to purchase 3 "authentic" units to get one that actually was authentic, at least I think its authentic. On top of that, one of the fake "authentics" have much better machining. Do not like having to purchase another unit that looks exactly like the 2 but the parts are not fully interchangeable. If the device would look different then maybe. Also, their dual coil design? Not impressed at all. Two coils sitting on top of each other? What a mess, I can see the potential for shorts there. That just seams like a to sloppy response to the iClear dual coil. At least the iclear coils are offset to each other with ample distance between the two coils. Rebuilding the PT3? Good luck with that! If I had the pt3 I would probably turn it into a large single coil with 2 - 3mm silica wicks and see how that goes.:glare: Heck, I could probably drill down my PT2 and put 2 - 3mm silica wicks in it.:toast:

I was gonna get a pt3 after using the pt1 and 2's for a year now. I love my protanks immensely. But i recently got the anyvape Davide BDC glassomizer and i have to say, this is a protank dethroner!! i dont rebuild my own so im not worried about rebuilding the heads on this. I must say its got Great flavor, Great vapor and ease of use. Even more so than the protanks. I highly recommend it.

I recieved a PT3 last Thursday as a tester from my local B&M. Burnt the first atty in 4 hours on my Sprite Mech. Naturally, I stripped it down and both coils are N/R/N wire. I wrapped a pair of 1/16 coils in 32 Kanthal, 9 wraps each for finished product of 1.2 ohms. 3 strands of Peaches and Cream yarn through each coil, 2 strands for flavor wick on top. This atty is now on its 5th tank of 50/50 liquid almost a week later, using as a lung hitter on the Sprite. Its keeping up perfectly fine, no gurgles, no burn, and good flavor/vapor production all the way to near empty. It took about 15 minutes or so to do the full rebuild.
