Congrats! I hope to be able to afford a second one someday, just in case, but I doubt I'll ever need it!
As dingo said, the easiest way it take the resistance of the carto and add 2. 1.7 ohms, you add 2 and get 3.7v. 3 ohms add 2 and you get 5v. This will get you very close, then you can adjust up or down from there. This is the simplest way to keep it around 8watts, where most people like to vape.

Post like this one do my heart proud! :)

Congrats to you guys on your Provari with a special shout out to Ocelot.....enjoy em and welcome to the club of impeccable taste and shrewd assessment of value versus quality. :)

Well finally is an overstatement from the time of order to arrival was only like 4 days (bought a blemished one). So far I love it but for to figure out the voltage settings for a LR and SR attys. This is my first VV mod :).

I only use attys as I am a direct dripper.. Of course I love the HH357 atty. Since you own a Provari I recommend using a 3.0 ohm attys...
LR attys are designed for fixed 3.7 volt devices to simulate high voltage vaping.. With a 3.0 ohm atty you will draw less amps and will able to utilize the full spectrum 2.9--6.0 volts that the Provari is capable of.
I find my sweet spot @ around 10 watts... Voltage x Voltage / ohms (atty resistance) = watts

Congrats! I'm so jealous.

While I continue to contemplate the pricing, I'll look at my batteries that came with my Volcano Inferno Starter's Kit and wonder what went wrong with my life. I still have my Ego-C Twist I guess...

Yup, that was me two days ago, contemplation to the point of insanity. The Inferno got me off to a cracking start but man was I getting cheesed off with the battery swapping, the constant cable carrying, the flashing red light then the devastating realisation that the wall charger on the backup... was NOT turned on.

The Provari isn't the only route out of battery slavery sure, but the moment it locks eyes on you, you know it's just a matter of time before you sell your horse to get one. I almost loved that animal you know.

I'm really debating on getting a Provari when I get my taxes, I haven't made up my mind yet. I currently have an Innokin iTaste MVP and a Joyetech eVic... I already customized one and have it sitting in my Provape cart, but $222.90 is a little steep... especially when I plan on buying about 5 or more liters of nic juice incase the FDA decide to go overboard...

You'll remember the general pattern once you do it for a little while. Here's the chart:

No need for a complicated chart.

For single coil atties and cartos add 2 to the resistance. 2.0ohms plus 2 equals 4.0 volts This will get you pretty close. All you have to do from there is adjust in .1 volt increments either up or down to taste.

For dual coils atties and cartos double the resistance and add 2. for a 2ohm dual coil double the number so that would be 4, then add 2. This would put you at 6 volts.

I know my general voltage range for standard 2.0 and 3.0 but have grown to rely on a really basic, free, ad-free phone app (Circuit Calc) for adjustments after building an atomizer. I used to always refer to "the chart" that I had saved in my phone's photo library. I love this app because I enter in any two values (current, power, resistance or voltage) and it completes the other two. Sometimes I'm trying to hit a target resistance based on known voltage and desired watts (8-ish) and other times I want to determine my voltage setting based on resistance and desired watts.

Enjoy your Provari. I've had mine a few months now and it was a welcome step up from the eGo and eGo twist. I'm dipping my toe in the mechanical mod and rebuildable atomizer pool (ok, I dove into the deep end) but have no plans to get rid of the Provari. It is reliable, feels good in the hand and is "easy on the eyes".
